THE QUALIFYING ROUNDS
If you think that you have what it takes to make it to the grand final of the World Cup or just want to give it your best go then at the beggining of 2006 you need to firstly send an application by E-mail or Post to Shane McTease containing your name, your angel's name and your address and country.
After this Shane McTease will give you an invitation to join a qualifying game at a registered arena near you at a specific time and date. Groups will be made of roughly 15 competitors.
After your game of Marco the official observing the game will pass on the news to Shane McTease of the winners.
After this, if necessary, the winners will be invited to attend a second qualifying round in an arena in their county which will take the same format.
THE FINALS
After the qualifying the winners (Spectators are also most welcome) will be invited to Oxford to play in the finals. Each competition in the finals will take place in one of the arenas that surround Shane McTease's hill. After these rounds there will be only 4 competitors left. (Some competitors will have to play 1 game whereas others may have to play up to 5. It is up to the luck of the draw. (which is done politely))
THE EVE OF THE GRAND FINAL
After the Final's the 4 remaining players will be taken up the hill into Shane McTeases hut. Here they will spend the evening with Shane McTease and eat the dinner which is prepared by Shelley McTease. They are then expected to spend an hour of meditation with Shane and will be given a tour of the hut and the grounds in which Shane lives.
Before they go to bed they are expected to bathe with Shane McTease in his Jacuzzi. They will then be sent to their rooms.
THE GRAND FINAL
The next morning the remaining finalists will go into the underground passage under the hill and wait on a platform to be raised through the ground into the arena.
The Grand Final takes place in the mother of all Marco arenas. Shane McTeases personal Golden Circle. Shane McTease wil make his way down the hill to the sound of the millions of roaring fans and the other finalists will be raised from the ground.
They will then begin the Marco game, played with Sahne McTeases own Marco ball, made from his own forskin and packed with his flesh. The game progresses as normal with the players taking the walk of Shane through the crowd to amplify the laughing (and hence politeness)
The winner of the game will be presented with the Golden Marco ball.
