Imagine this, you're surrounded by a sunny forest glade with twittering
birds, fluttering butterflies and a shimmering stream. Oh how I would love
to be in that place.

God's amazing creation is beautiful and I would like to share a few things
I enjoy most about nature.

When the snowy white winter comes I like all the snowflakes and how they
fall upon everything in their path, especially the trees. In Psalm 74:17
it says that God has set all the borders of the earth and has made summer
and winter. It's so wonderful to know that we have God in Heaven Who is
always there for us.

Have you ever really looked at the snow? How it covers the land in a
fluffy blanket? It looks just like a winter wonderland. When the rain
freezes on the branches of the trees it seems there are glittering
diamonds everywhere. At night when it snows, the light reflects from the
falling snowflakes and they look feathery and soft. Winter is a crystal
like time of year, as the sun reflects upon the snow and ice, they glisten
like tiny crystals.

We have a pond by our house and I remember one night the sunset was just
so beautiful setting over the pond, it just took my breath away. The moon
was over to one side, and the hills beside the sunset made the scene look
like a painted picture. Behind me there were pink and yellow stripes in
the sky. It is so amazing how God made the sunset. Psalm 50 verse 1 says
that "The mighty God, even the Lord, hath spoken, and called the earth
from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof." The sunset was
just so breathtaking I wrote my feelings in a poem. The poem said:

As the day closes and brings up the glow,
Of the pure sunset,
That glistens upon the snow,
How beautiful the sunset and then the evening star,
That shines like a jewel,
Glistening afar.

The sunset and then the evening star,
How amazing God's creation,
You see from afar.

Some nights I gaze up at the sky to see thousands of stars, that twinkle
like tiny diamonds, covering the world in a starry blanket. Look, there is
the little dipper and over there is the orion. The whole sky is a story
book full of legends and adventures. On the fourth day that God created
the world He made the moon, sun, and stars. Genesis 1:16 says: "And God
made two great lights, the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser
light to rule the night: He made the stars also."

One morning I saw a star still shining in the sky. It was so bright and
beautiful that I wanted to reach up and touch It's shining rays.

Other nights I look up at the bright disk shining in the sky and wonder
how many others are doing the same. The way the moon shines at night is
just so amazing. As it rotates around the earth in a circle of light, the
whole world gets a chance to see it.

As the snow starts to melt and the birds begin to sing, the fresh and
lively time is spring. It says in Psalm 65:9-10 that God waters the earth
and visits it and greatly enriches it with the river of God which is full
of water. He prepares for them corn when He has so provided for it. He
waters the ridges thereof abundantly. He settlest the furrows thereof. He
makes it soft with showers and blessest the springing thereof.

Every night when the frogs begin singing they sound like a hushing
lullaby. As I arise in the morning the birds' chirping greets me with a
cheerful, sweet melody. When I wake up I hope that a nice sunny day awaits
me. When there's a clear blue sky with barely a cloud in sight It's so new
and fresh.

"God crowns the year with His goodness and His paths drop fatness. They
drop upon the pastures of the wilderness and the little hills rejoice one
every side. The pastures are clothed with flocks, the valleys are covered
with corn. They shout for joy. They also sing." Psalm 65:11-13. They way
the sun shines down upon the green grass and sparkling lakes makes me feel
happy and full of life.

I love sun showers. How can it rain and shine at the same time? I look for
rainbows painted across the sky in their distinct bands of color. I search
for where they touch the earth but they all too quickly fade away. Trees
begin to bud and flowers start to bloom. Everything is so fresh and
enjoyable. Spring to me is a refreshing, lively time of year.

And how about summer? Nice warm, relaxing summers with inviting fresh
lakes, the summery walks, the camping and, most of all, the picnicking.
Summer's a time for lying in the green grass, looking up at the blue sky,
enjoying the beauty of God's creation. Psalm 121:1-2 says this: "I will
lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help
cometh from the Lord." To me It's so wonderful that I can look up to the
sky and know that my Lord is up there looking down at me and helping me.

When I go fishing or swimming, I never get tired of gazing at the
reflection of the trees in the calm waters. I remember a shimmering stream
that i used to go to. As the sun reflected off the ripples I saw millions
of diamonds dancing on the surface.

But too quickly summer also speeds by. Leaves start to change and there's
a flow of color all around. Once again the land is to be covered in a
blanket but what a colorful blanket it is. Reds, yellows, browns and
oranges. Leaves are falling everywhere. Autumn is just so beautiful and bright.

Genesis 8:22: "While the earth remaineth, seed time and harvest, and cold
and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease."
Earth's never ending cycle: winter, spring, summer, fall. God's four
beautiful seasons, oh how God made them all.
