Knautia macedonica. The best of 3 variegated seedlings, it's held its color for 3 years in spite of being nibbled back by the occasional lamb.

We saved seed from this one year just to find out if any of the seedlings would show color. Variegation was only about .05 per cent but we held onto one seedling who showed even more variegation. These plants are related to knapweed (a noxious weed in our area) and because of the amount of seed set and its ability to survive anywhere, we've had to learn to deadhead them both frequently.
