A new one for 2001 (actually there were 2 of these) and no, this had never shown variegation before.

The horseradish and I have only recently come to an understanding... It doesn't spread beyond its bed and I won't go out of my way to kill it. For years I've battled the stuff and when I couldn't get rid of it, made due with insulting it as I walked by. It wasn't difficult to dislike since it's been only recently we've learned how to make a pretty good horseradish sauce. The stuff was invasive, put down roots farther than I could dig without a backhoe, took up valuable room, and was horribly plain looking.

I think it might be trying to make up....
