�What do you think Florida will be like?� I asked Krys
�I don�t know Kennie,� She answered than shivered �Hopefully warmer than -15,� I laughed at my sister.
�I�m sure it will be,� I answered. We walked in silence for a few minute before I spoke �I�m scared,� I whispered. Krys looked at me.
�About what?� She answered
�Everything,� I replied �I�m scared to leave home. I�m scared to leave family, friends. I�m scared that they�ll be mean over there. Krys, I�m scared about everything,� Krys sighed. We continued walking. I don�t think she knew what to say to me. It�s ok though, I just didn�t want to be scared alone. I hate being alone. I was scared to that too, being alone in a new place. I knew I probably wouldn�t sleep for the first few nights, until I got used to my new surroundings.
Soon we got to the 7-11. Sure enough there was a big group of people from school standing outside the door. I noticed Josh and decided to just go in and see if he�d notice me walk by. Sure enough a few moments after I had entered the store and was grabbing a hot chocolate I felt two arms wrap around me. I smiled lightly and turned around. I looked at Josh and was greeted with the sight of him wiht a touque on his head, and his ears sticking out. I laughed. He unwrapped his arms from me and smiled.
�Warm now?� He asked
�Yeah,� I answered quietly. My mind was still on the move.
�You�re still thinking about it? Aren�t you?� Josh asked
�It�s official,� I said �We drew straws when I got home, Me and Krys are moving to Florida and I don�t know when I�m coming back,� I blinked and warm tears slipped down my cold flushed cheeks. Josh just pulled me to him and we stood there for a few moments.
�You gonna be ok?� Josh asked when we pulled away. I smiled through my tears.
�Yeah,� I answered �I�ll be fine,� I wiped my tears with my sleeve. When I got back outside Krys and Jeremy were standing there kissing. I laughed and tapped Krys on the shoulder.
�Did you even go in?� I asked
�You�re done already?� She asked
�Yeah,� I answered �Did you go in?� Krys� answer was a laugh. She hadn�t gone in. I pulled her inside the store.
�Did you tell him?� I asked. Krys shook her head.
�I�ll tell him later. Right now I just wanna spend as much time with him and my friends as possible.� She said softly. I nodded. She got her stuff and we went back outside. We stood there for about 10 minutes before going back home.
�What took you girls so long?� my mom asked when we got back
�We ran into Jeremy and Josh,� I answered before retreating up the stairs. Once in the room I grabbed my bath stuff and went to take a bath. I went to be early that night. I guess the days events were taking more from me than I expected.
The next morning we went through the same routine as the morning before. Except this morning I didn�t run the water while my brother was in the shower, and I didn�t try to wake him up. This morning when I was brushing my hair my mom came in and told me I could go back to bed if I wanted. School was closed that day because the snow hadn�t halted all night. Instead of going back to bed like my mom expected, I continued to get dressed. Since I was already up I figured I would enjoy the snow before I wouldn�t see it for awhile. I continued to get ready like I would every morning before school.
When I finally got downstairs my mom was surprised to see me.
�I though you would go back to bed,� She said when she seen me. I shook my head.
�I wanted to enjoy the snow before I can�t see it anymore,� I said softly. I grabbed a bowl and poured myself some cereal.
�Didn�t you already eat?� My mom asked
�Yeah,� I answered �But I�m still hungry,� My mom just laughed and shook her head.
�Since your up,� My mom started �Can you watch Nicky and Bryan while I go to work. The daycare was closed,�
�Sure,� I replied �I�ll just take them out to play or something,� My mom smiled at me.
�Your an angel you know that,� She said before she proceeded to get ready for work. I smiled and finished my cereal. When I was finished I went into the living room to watch cartoons with my younger brothers.
