My brother Sam got married on June 12th in the Mesa, Arizona temple. Our whole family flew down for the big day. It was quite a whirlwind of a trip though. We arrived on Friday night at 6:30pm and then left Sunday morning at 7:30am. Friday night I went out with Sam and my family for his Bachelor Party. )Scott was nice enough to take one for the team and stay at the hotel with the boys). We went to Home Depot where my mom put a sign on Sam that said "I'm getting married tomorrow, Wish me luck." Then he stood at the front of the store with a shopping cart and my dad assigned all of us to go out and get items/gifts for Sam that were $20 or less. Kent and I paired up and got him a sander and some child safety locks for around the house (just helping them get prepared for the future!) Then we had an awesome dinner at the Claim Jumper restaurant. The wedding day was beautiful and everything went pretty smoothly. Although Scott and I have decided that Arizona is not a place we want to live -- the heat is just too much! Following the sealing my parents hosted a luncheon at a Doubletree Resort in Scottsdale. Afterwards we took some time to swim in our hotel's pool. Then that evening the reception was held at a local stake center. It was decorated so nice and the food was great -- they even had an Italian Ice bar set up. I think Scott had about 10 of those! In the weeks after their wedding I put together a little scrapbook with the photos that I took. Here's a link to my profile at two peas if you'd like to take a look. I think it turned out VERY nicely! Below is the title page The Wedding Scrapbook - Part I The Wedding Scrapbook - Part II |
