We took a little day trip to Mt. Hood today. First we stopped at the Lost Creek park and had picnic. Afterwards we went on a little 1/2 mile (paved) hike -- perfect for strollers. Conner loved carrying his stick and taking detours from the trail to throw rocks in the "river".
Then we drove up the road to Trillium Lake which sounded like a good spot from things I had read online. But once we got there we discovered there really wasn't any space to sit -- there was thick tree growth and marshes clear up to the water's edge. However, the view was spectacular! There were lots of people floating out on tubes or paddling in canoes -- it would be fun to visit again when we were better prepared. |
