halloween 04
october 31
Another halloween . . . . This year we took Conner with us to Walmart to look at patterns for costumes.  We flipped through the books and he wanted to be everything on every page.  So finally mom had to narrow it down and he decided he wanted to be a skeleton.  He was very excited about his skeleton and told everyone about it for weeks leading up to the holiday.  I also chose a pattern for Payton -- a cute candy corn costume.  But Scott thought it was too "girlie" so we decided to tweek it and create a pizza costume.  I have to admit, I quite liked the pizza idea.  So I worked on it for many hours over several days, cutting out little pizza toppings - the works.  When it was finally complete we put my masterpiece over Payton's head and within 3 seconds it was off, never to make it back onto his body again.  I'm a little disappointed that he wouldn't wear it, but such is Payton.
Because Halloween was on a Sunday, our ward sponsored a trunk or treat on Saturday night at the church.  Conner had a great time showing off his costume.  Previously, he had a halloween party at school and was disappointed that none of the kids dressed up as a witch.  So . . . mom to the rescue and I pulled together a cute witch costume for the holiday.  Scott pulled out some paraphonalia from work and went as a "line-man".  And Payton was just Payton.  You can see the pizza costume laying in the back of the van (see photo left).
