going to primary
Conner's first day in primary was
Jan 4, 2004.  He was dressed so handsomely from head to toe & ready to move out of the nursery.  During singing time he got to participate in a fishing game.  He fished out the song "Do as I'm Doing" to which he got to choose the action (marching in place).  He even got to stand at the microphone and sing along!  During class time it seems that he did pretty good, although the teacher said she found out that Conner does not like to be touched!  Then they returned to the Primary room for closing exercises.  At some point, Conner decided that he needed to go back up to the microphone.  He made a run for the podium but the primary chorister intercepted him and picked him up.  He started screaming, "no, put me down!"  With just a few minutes left in the meeting they decided to bring him to me.  I was in the foyer already with Payton when I heard Conner coming down the hall.  He was sooo sad.  As I talked to him he said, "we'll try better next time."  It was such a sad and funny experience that day.  We'll always get to remember that Conner got kicked out on his first day of Primary!
First Day
Star of the Month
Conner was spotlighted in Primary in the month of February.  The Primary President
read various tid bits about Conner and then the children had to guess who it was.  Here are some of Conner's answers.  When he grows up he wants to be big and strong.  Favorite flavor of ice cream -- none, because he doesn't like it.  His favorite thing to do is sing.  He likes the color purple (that usually changes each week).  At the end the president asked who it might be.  Conner pointed and said, "it's Ethan" (another boy in his class).  Ethan responded, "no it's not me.  I like ice cream."  Conner got a star to wear around his neck.  He thought that was pretty cool.
