World Title Hunt

Part III

Now things have began to get interesting. Rollin Thunder is no longer in the World championship match.

Apparently, after an incident in which he shot his mouth off about his fellow workers, Kent Strong decided to do the right thing and strip Rollin Thunder of the championship belt and remove him from the September Slugfest main event. Thunder had a hissy fit, which is typical of him since he doesn't like being punished, and decided to quit TnT Wrestling.

So now the main event is even more anticipated, as the winner could be completely random, either The Hollywood Icon and the Wrestling Legend, 'The Outlaw' Nicky Mills, or 'The Real Man' Reed Harrington. The newcomer faces a veteran of wrestling, and the stakes have increased as the champion has been stripped of the belt and has left the company.

It now becomes a singles contest, with two men who are determined to win face off.

There can only be one winner and only one loser. The winner will be crowned the World champion, while the loser will walk away empty handed, nothing but his own conscious telling him that he blew the opportunity to be crowned the number one man in the company, the man who makes the audience buy tickets and watch the shows, the man who has to be the head of the company and be responsible for television ratings.

That man will be in the list of champions that have held the World championship, and will forever be remembered.

Reed Harrington now believes that without Thunder, his job will become easier. But it's just become harder, because the Pay Per View version of Nicky Mills is something that is tough to beat, as this is the biggest opportunity of his life, and he isn't just going to go down with a typical finisher.

It's going to have to take everything in Harrington's wrestling ability and his stamina to take down the Technical Wonder in the biggest championship match, and the most anticipated by wrestling audiences everywhere.

The man shoots his mouth off everytime we see him, and tries to put on this macho front that he believes is true. Bullshit. He is merely a sheep in wolfs clothing, and Slugfest, Nicky Mills will prove it to the entire world watching the event.

Harrington will suffer his first loss on the biggest stage of his career, and it's going to be a very painful loss too, because when he watches and see' the inevitable happening, he's going to realise what a joke trying even was. There's no stopping fate, and he should learn that.

Because Nicky Mills has been in these situations more than Harrington has. He knows what has to happen, and what has to be done against the men or man he is facing. If you look back to the Night of Hell match against Michael Edwards, Edwards couldnt even beat him on that given night, and it ended in a draw when both men were too exhausted to continue.

Look at the match when Mills faced Nic Totopolous that stole the show, and Nic didnt even win properly! Mills' foot was on the ropes. Things like that make you realise that when you face a concentrated Outlaw, you have to pull out all the obstacles.

Over the months, we have seen a Nicky Mills that even Thunder managed to beat. But now it's time that we saw the evil Nicky Mills, the one who he and Segrada controlled TnT Wrestling. The one who knocked out Cundiff with a serious concussion as a result of a backstage assault with a shovel.

We have been witnessing a Mills who has beaten everyone in his road to the championship, and now he has finally reached the match where he will pit everything he has against a man who has appeared from under a rock, and has suddenly found himself a championship match.

And that's bad news for Reed Harrington, because 'The Outlaw' is at the top of his game, and it's going to take a lot to shut the man who has clawed his way back to the top after being ousted by many losers such as X Kalibur and the High Rollers, who now no longer exist.

There is nothing in Nicky Mills' way now to stop him taking the championship and being the top man of TnT Wrestling, except for one man, who is determined to win the biggest match of his entire career, and is moaning about 'The Outlaw' being in the match in the first place, because he is a light hog. Yes, he believes on being the top man and taking all the attention. But he will have attention.

His attention will be medical, because once Nicky Mills locks Harrington in that Legends Pain and the man taps out for the first time in his career, we will have a new world heavyweight champion, a new Icon of TnT Wrestling, and the best wrestler that has graced the wrestling ring since Nic Totopolous.

He has many names. The Hollywood Icon, The Wrestling Legend, The Technical Wonder, but there is one name that will stand once September Slugfest has ended.

The TnT World Heavyweight Champion, Nicky Mills.

KK: OH MY GOD! NICKY MILLS JUST DESTROYED REED HARRINGTON!

TD: This is too much! Stop this madness! Stop this massacre!

Nicky Mills has locked in the Legends Pain on a bleeding Reed Harrington, who's blood is staining the ring. Mills drags him in the same position, as the blood drags and a trail of blood begins to form on the canvas. The referee is begging Nicky to end the match quickly, but Mills has a sick smile as he lurches himself back and 'The Real Man' begins to scream his heart out, possibly for mercy. The audience is watching this destruction in horror as Nicky, drenched with his own sweat, is laughing loud enough for the audience to hear.

TD: Come on Harrington! You can survive!

KK: Wait a minute.....

The referee has seen Harrington submitting and calls for the bell, as the inevitable has happened. Confetti comes from the ceiling as Mills grabs the championship belt, while the announcer booms over the microphone.

Announcer: THE WINNER, AND NEW TNT WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION, 'THE OUTLAW' NICKY MILLS!

KK: Yes! Nicky Mills has finally become the champion!

TD: This was the most vicious match I have ever seen, and I think Reed Harrington's career is over!

KK: Thank goodness! That loser should go back to Texas!

Nicky Mills raises the title over his head as the audience shower him with boo's and chants of "FUCK YOU!", but this just makes Mills laugh, as he looks down on Harrington, who is not moving a muscle, and is being assisted by the referee. Nicky lifts up Harrington's legs and turns him into his stomach for another Legends Pain, as the crowd are getting more intense. Reed's family are sickened at ringside as their children turn their heads away and begin crying. His wife is shouting for Nicky to stop, and it is ignored as Mills shouts back "Where's your REAL MAN now, huh?!".

TD: Oh god no! Please, show some compassion, will you?

KK: Look at this, here comes Kent Strong...

Kent Strong is clapping as he is seeing this occurring in the ring, loving it every second, as the audience are screaming and becoming more angry.  Harrington's wife jumps over the rail and jumps on Nicky, who shakes his head as he merely lurches forward and she lands right in front of him, fear in her eyes as she begs for the new champion to stop the assault on her husband, now a bloody mess and seemingly unconscious.

 Mills grabs his wife's legs, to her horror, and turns HER onto her stomach for a Legends Pain. Their children are screaming ringside for mercy, and tears are in their eyes, as Strong continues to laugh and cheer on Mills. Nicky, after a few moments, lets go of the limp wife of Harrington, and then smiles as he places her body over her husband's caked with blood body, then standing over them and raises the belt with both arms.

KK: I guess we can say, Reed Harrington's career is over!

TD: Nicky Mills is going to burn in hell for this.

The hotel suite is a sorry sight, as the camera scans around the room, where the woman, now known as Macy, is lying in the large double bed, the duvet covering her. Nicky is laid out in the bed, wearing nothing but a pair of black boxers. Sounds of the news can be heard as the television is still on, and Mills slowly stirs as he lifts himself from the bed, and turns over and shakes Macy hard, who then begins to wake up. The two share a kiss before Marcy opens her eyes, Nicky then smiling as he lifts her up and throws her back onto the bed playfully.

Lazy bitch! It's the day before the event, and I'm feeling like a sack of shit!

Ohh, come back to bed.

Fuck, I cant. I have to train today. I also have some sort of interview for TnT Wrestling about the match. What time is the interview, by the way?

Around five a clock today, Greek time, baby.

Ugh, I feel like shit this morning. I might go back to sleep.

He slunks back into the double bed and resting his head on the pillow, slowly shuts his eyes. But moments later, a loud ringing coming from a cell phone is picked up by the camera, and Nicky groans before reaching for his bedside and flips open the cell phone.

Nicky here.

The voice on the other line is known to be Kent Strong, owner of TnT Wrestling.

Get out of bed, you lazy bastard! I have some news for you...

Just as I am about to sleep? You picked a bad time, so hurry up.

Well, there was an incident regarding Rollin Thunder, and as a result of the seriousness, I had to strip him of the championship.

Nicky's eyes then suddenly widen, and he shoots up from the bed, his face turned into a ball of shock.

What?! What did he do? Something fucked up, like always?

Shooting his mouth off about the company itself, basically. I cant go into details because of legal issues, but I have to inform you that you will now be facing Reed Harrington in a one on one contest for the World championship.

Yeah.....sure.

I have a call I have to take now, but I just called to inform you. Dont forget your interview either. You have to be at the arena by half four, because the show begins at five.

Alright, will do. Later.

Nicky flips the cell phone back down, still in a state of shock, as he takes a bottle of Pepsi beside him and takes a large quantity of it, as Macy turns to look at him.

Nicky? You alright? What was that call about?

Rollin Thunder is out of the main event.

Huh? Why? Isn't he the champion?

He whined about himself again, I guess, and Strong fired him for it. That means that the main event will be me taking on Reed, and that, is going to be tough. I'm so fucking nervous it's unbelivable.

Ohh, don't be worried. You can win this.

I know, but Harrington's beaten me like twice, and I managed to get a draw over him. But what if I fuck this ne up?

Don't think that that! Reed is tough, but your Nicky Mills!

Yeah, your right. I'm going to head out for breakfast before this interview.

Alright. Take care of yourself, honey.

Dont honey me! I told you that. I hate that shit. I'll be back later though, don't worry. I'm going to head to the gym after my interview.

Nicky gives Macy a peck on the cheek and then changes into his change of clothing, which is a cream white tuxedo and a pair of black shades. Walking to the door, he realises he has forgotten something, and takes a black sports bag with him, as the scene slowly fades to black.

The scene opens with a short video of TnT Wrestling, and then a preview video of the main event for the TnT World championship match between 'The Outlaw' Nicky Mills and 'The Real Man' Reed Harrington plays with the tune of 'In The End' by Linken Park. As the video slowly fades, a large studio can be seen, and two chairs sit in the middle of the room, as one of them is occupied by a small middle aged man, possibly in his early thirties, wearing an official TnT tee shirt. The man then looks at the camera and begins to speak.

This is Ken Dennis, and welcome to the pre-show of TnT September Slugfest. This will give you many reasons, if you have not done so, to order the show and watch it LIVE on Pay Per View for only $29.95! Now, if you did not already know, the main event has been changed as a result of Thunder's dismissal from the company, and being stripped of the World championship. Now the match will be a singles contest between Reed Harrington and Nicky Mills, the match now becoming more anticipated than ever, and the second singles contest that these two men have had.

They first met in Harrington's debut match, where the biggest upset in history occurred when 'The Real Man' pinned Mills in a hardcore rules match. They then met at the Eurasian championship against Jimmy Vetalo, and again, Reed managed to pin Nicky Mills. However, the stakes changes for their second triple threat outing where a double pin was counted by two officials, both men's shoulders were down. As a result of the draw, Strong announced that both men would meet Rollin Thunder.

However, an incident which occurred last night, which we are not at a liability to talk about, has resulted in Kent Strong firing Rollin Thunder and stripping him of the championship. We wish Thunder luck as he continues on with his wrestling career in other companies. But I am delighted here today, less than twenty four hours away from September Slugfest, Nicky Mills is here in the studio with us. Come on out, OUTLAW!

Wearing a cream white tuxedo and a pair of black sunglasses, he makes his way out to the other studio chair. He sits on the chair as Ken Dennis, the TnT interviewer, begins to greet the man who will face Harrington for the championship this Sunday at September Slugfest. Sporting a large smile, Nicky Mills shakes the interviewers hand, who then begins to speak.

Nicky Mills, it's a pleasure to be interviewing you.

The only pleasure I'm going to get is showing Harrington what it takes to be a champion.

September Slugfest, you will go one on one with Reed Harrington, a man who has shown a lot of hate for you in his recent promo's. You have been in these type of situations before as this is not the first championship match you have been in. This is your opportunity to prove to the entire world that it is your time. How do you feel going into most possibly, the biggest match of your entire career?

First of all, I just happened to watch Harrington's annoying promo's, which gave me one big fucking headache. But this match is now between me and him, and even though he irritates me so damn much, he's a good wrestler.

GOOD, not great, and certainly not like the Technical Wonder, but he does have talent. And he certainly has a lot more than our now former champion, Rollin Thunder, and finally, former employee.

So now it's me and Harrington facing off, and to be honest, I'm looking forward to a challange, finally. I've had to tear apart Boyle and Prodigy, and now it's Harrington's turn to finally understand what it feels like to be locked in that Legends Pain. He's felt it before, and he's almost submitted.

 Watch the matches and you will see him screaming like a little girl trying to reach the ropes, and just as his hand goes up to slap the mat for submission, he makes a last attempt for the ropes and manages to escape. But this Legends Pain is going to be more painful and more nasty than he has ever felt, and once I hear those screams, I'll crank up the pressure to make him feel it.

But it will take more than a Legends Pain to take out that idiot. I need to take him for a little wrestling lesson, courtesy of 'The Outlaw'. Now, we've just had the Olympics, and here's the wrestling Olympics, only it's TnT Wrestling.

The U.S of A will be represented by Harrington, and Britain will be represented by Nicky Mills. And the gold medal will be the World championship. Doesn't that sound glorious? Now for the Olympics, its your talent and skills, and not your promo's, as Harrington has got it into his big thick skull. And with that attitude he has right now, he's not going to stand a goddamn chance now, is he?

And he told me that the reason why I hadn't heard of him was because I was a nobody? Oh, so I was wanted with companies such as WWE, NWA: TNA, RoH, and others, that makes me a nobody? Do you actually know what a nobody is, Reed? It means that the person is just ordinary, nothing special.

But that's where you get it wrong, because I seem to be better than you. And Reed, please don't insult my intelligence with bullshit, man. You main evented ONE TnT match that didn't have me in it, Harrington.  I was in the triple threat match with you and Vetalo, and then with Vetalo once again. You main evented a tag team championship match. Big deal. You see, you gloat over complete and utter bullshit, and that is what I have never understood about you. We do agree on something, and that is that Thunder is a brainless moron with nothing but his 'rebel' image. I mean, do you think he has any talent?! Anyway, let's move on.

Now, you have faced many opponents over the years. You've faced greats like Bret Hart, Ric Flair, Nic Totopolous, Kevin Cosmos, Minds Eye and Michael Edwards. Now this must come as a bigger challenge as you could walk out of September Slugfest the World champion. How do you cope with that large amount of pressure?

You ask some good questions, Ken, for a little dumb American. When you have pressure, you just shake it off and think to yourself "You can do this. This is your life." and that's true. Wrestling is my life, and wrestling is in my blood. But this September Slugfest main event, it's all about Nicky Mills, baby! Harrington is going to walk in this match with one goal, and that's to be champion. But I'm looking forward to just one thing, and that's finally showing that egotistical fuck how it feels to be on the losing end, because Reed, you have to believe that your right. I cant really think of much else to say, other than Harrington, expect the expected, and that is to lose and watch as Nicky Mills finally becomes the World champion.
