A New York Night: Part II
I feel nothing except a stinging pain in the back of my head, and the fact that the Red Dragons failed in their set-up, that they tried getting rid of me once and for all, but even then, they didn't succeed. To know that your former friends are now your worst enemies isn't a great feeling. Everyone has tried destroying me and putting me away, from the FBI to the CIA, to these stupid bastards. You see, it all started when I first was put in jail for killing my brother's murderer. These guys were an organization and they saw I was in need, so the reason I was out early was because of their influence. I had to pay them back somehow, and I kind of knew what it was all about. The problems weren't about the crime, but the trustworthiness of them. Soon, it became clear to me that these guys wanted me dead because they thought I was getting too close in on them, so they planned to kill me, in other words. But before that was to happen, I was involved with a bank robbery with these guys, and they planned to kill me while we were driving off. With me out of the picture, the guys involved would get more of the money. But that wasn't how it was played out...before it was to happen, my partner had ratted one of the Red Dragons out, therefore he had a bounty on his head unless he paid $30 million dollars out of the money we robbed from the bank. But none of that happened, and instead something happened which I will never forget...
February 5th 1998
We open to a quiet New York City night, unlike the other nights in NYC. A deadly aroma of tension seems to cloud over the skies as we close in on the image of a bank which seems to be the JP Morgan Bank.

The camera closes in on some figures at the top of the building. One of them is a very young Mills, with shining blond hair, which is covered up with a balaclava which covers his whole face. Along with Mills are two other guys, one of them has a shaved head and also wears a balaclava over his head, and the other man, however, does not wear anything except for some dark shades and some normal street clothes. They all seem to be carrying walkie talkies as Nicky and his partner, seemingly, prepare to use bungee jump cords.
Ready?
Remember, you two have to get in and out. Meet me around the allyway of this place and I'll secure your escape route.
We got it. Mills, let's go before we set the alarms off.
You two, remember the plan. Alright?
Sure man, just don't go killing yourself or getting trapped in there.
This is going to be the biggest heist ever! Can you imagine how much we're going to get for this?
Seventy million dollars! That's enough for all of us for life, and so much much more.
Yeah, but lets not hang around. I want to get my hands on that cash!
When your in and out, you know what to do. Meet outside the allyway when you're done, and we'll be out of here before you can say 'Go'!
Nicky and the other man nod, as they prepare to use their bungie cords to climb down the gigantic building, as the wind blows ferociously. First the partner of Nicky nods and slowly moves down the cord, as he stops by the window and rears back and puts his feet in front of him, causing the window to smash. Mills then looks at the moonlight, realizing what he must do, and slowly moves himself down the cord. He comes to the smashed window, but before he does he equips himself with a loaded pistol, as he lunges himself through the window, landing hard on his hands as he put them out in front of him. Standing there is the man smiling as he slowly opens the door, but keeps it half open, as he turns to Mills.
Alright, here's the plan. The alarms have been deactivated for the time being, but not for much time. We still have to keep quiet and make sure nobody see's us. The vault is equipped with a fingerprint activation, along with a keycard, and then entering their personal number.
Anything else?
Yeah, they have to have a retinal scanner. Now we have to find a guard without alerting the others and make him do all the scans and stuff to get into the vault. There are camera's all over the place, but be careful because if more guards see us, we're screwed, and we all get fucked over. Now, you ready for this?
Lets do it. Just keep yourself guarded.
The other man nods and moves out of the door, as we now see a long hallway full of doors, and at the end of one hall is a large door which takes up most of the wall. Beside it seems to be the rectinal scanner, along with the card reader and fingerprint activation. Slowly, the two creep along the hall and the lights are darkened completely except for the vault light, which shines over the door. While Nicky stays in the corner near the door, his partner makes a deliberate noise by slamming the door. A guard appears from the dark halls, using a torchlight to see around the hallway.
Hello? Is anyone there? Surrender yourself!
The guard gets nearer the door, and as he walks up to it, Nicky's partner pulls out a combat knife, edged sharply with a large black handle, and holds it to his throat. The man drops his torchlight in fear, and lets out a loud whimper, but not enough for anyone to hear.
Ahhh...ahh...please don't kill me! I have a wife and kids, don't do this to me!!
Shut up and listen to me. Your going to get us inside this vault and we are going to take the seventy million dollars that lays inside, you hear me? Once false move, and your dead! Understand?
OK, just don't hurt me!
Good, now we need you to enter your card in and do all the security stuff you need to do to get inside. If you run, my friend here has a loaded pistol and will shoot you right in the head, so you don't get to see your family at all. However, if you do the right thing and get this vault open NOW!
The man turns to Nicky, who smiles back as the guard slowly walks up to the card reader, and almost in a panic, inserts his card. He enters the pin code, his whole face sweating profusely as he then takes a big gulp and enters his face into the rectinal scanner, where it scans his face. For a long moment, it looks as if it will not register the entry, but finally, it gives the all clear, and a sign of relief comes over the two armed robbers. He slowly puts his index finger on the fingerprint reader as a long moment passes, with both men looking over their shoulders time and time again looking for another guard to come, but nothing happens, and the hallway remains dark and empty. Finally, the vault door clicks and the guard opens it slowly, as he doesn't want any sound to be made. He breathes a sign of relief but Nicky puts that to an end when he clicks the gun and raises it to his head...
Whoh! Whatcha doing, buddy?? I opened the door for you, now let me go!
I'm not stupid, you will activate the alarms once we are out of sight, and I'm not prepared to take that risk.
Mills, let him go! He's done what we want him to, now we need this money otherwise I'm fucked!!! You hear me, I'm stone cold dead. Do you want that?
But if we're noticed cause this guy looks nervous, then we'll be locked in the vault, and god Kanji, do you want that to happen??
Nicky...this isn't about him.
Well I cant let him stop our plan.
Mills clicks the gun, and then in a twist, turns the gun and gun whips the man in the skull, sending him crashing to the floor. Kanji looks stunned yet relived as they move him to the darkness, trying not to attract any attention, and both men take the empty bag they have with them, and slowly creep inside the vault, as the sight is plain and normal. In the middle of the room is a large black door, and in the middle of the door is a small dial, which is seemingly numbered 1-20.

Kanji heads towards the vault in a quick motion and takes out a scrupled piece of torn paper, and gives it to Nicky, who darts his eyes over it, before he finally speaks again.
Okay...19 forward, 3 back, 7 forward, 12 forwards, 6 back, 17 forwards, and 1 back. But then that's the first lock. Do that first before you do the others.
Alright, we only have five minutes to do this, so we better hurry this up.
Three light appears on the top of the vault, numbers 1,2,3 and all three are Red, probably means that it is locked and cannot be opened. Kanji slowly does the combination, but as he twists the dial for the final number, nothing happens. Kanji tries opening the vault, but he is pulling at heavy weight, and as Kanji goes to declare that the code is wrong. Nicky cuts him off, realizing the mistake.
No wait, this 6 might be a nine. Try it!
Kanji's sighs and again tries the combination, and this time a green light appears above the number 1, confirming that the first lock has been opened. Kanji wipes the sweat off his face from the heat, as Mills coughs before he speaks again, possibly a sign that he is nervous.
Alright, this one is 2 forward, 9 backward, 13 forward, 4 back, 6 forward, then back to 4, and then back to 20.
Jesus, does it get any easier?
Hopefully it will. We have four minutes before this vault locks, so hurry it up!
Kanji pulls the mask off his face due to the heat, and enters the combination, and this time it is successful, as the third code is the only one to be entered. But an alarm startles both men, and it is a loud ringing, as Nicky and Kanji don't believe their hearing.
MILLS! I'LL TAKE OUT THE GUARDS WHILE YOU GET THE MONEY! QUICKLY!
Two minutes? I don't think we can take all of the money in two minutes.
Take about forty million! Five million each for us, and pays off my death money from the Dragons. COME ON, WE AINT GOT THAT MUCH TIME!
Alright, I'll get on it.
Nicky quickly opens the paper again and his eyes dart forwards and backwards over the number as he looks at the dial and enters the code. Kanji has knocked out the guards who have approached the vault, but he is still struggling with one of them, who puts up a huge fight against Kanji. Finally, the door is opened and inside the vault, lies seven briefcases. A minute is left, and Mills takes the four cases, leaving the other three cases inside the vault. Nicky stuff them inside the bag and quickly runs out of the room as the lock is secured on the vault. The guard notice's Mills and attempts to try stop him, but Kanji wrestles him on the floor, as Nicky runs inside the room they entered through, and attaches himself onto the bungee cord, which remains still standing, along with the bag of money. Kanji has finished finally wrestling with the guard and quickly gathers his thoughts and rushes himself to the cord, where he attempts to attach himself onto. However, as he slowly climbs up the building, Nicky stares down at his partner, and then puts a knife to the rope, the same knife which Kanji had used earlier. With the money with Nicky, it seems that Kanji has been set up.
HEY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING????
I'm sorry Kanji, but I never meant for you to live. I was meant to kill you in order for my life to be secured, and the money is to pay back the Dragons. But still, I get my little profit from this..
What?! You set me up! Why??
In order for me to get through this alive, I have to kill you. That guy earlier, he was in on it. I have my escape route, but I'm afraid your only escape is death. Too bad, huh?
You son of a bitch! I cant believe your doing this!!
Well believe it now...Your dead anyway.
MILLS! PLEASE! I'M BEGGING YOU TO HELP ME!
Sorry Kanji, what's done must be done.
Nicky cuts the rope, and Kanji makes a lunge for a grip but he gets none and the rope breaks, sending him falling through the air as Mills stares at what he has done, and a wide grin spreads across his face. A helicopter slowly appears from the sky, as Nicky throws the bag and throws himself onto the helicopter floor, as the helicopter flies out of sight. We look down below, as police officers have surrounded the scene and we then get a glimpse of the dead Kanji, who's eyes are fixed in a stare, one of knowing he is going to die. Meanwhile, Nicky sits on the plane and lets out a laugh, knowing he has succeeded in his mission, as the scene fades to black.
So who is right and wrong?
Who is the evil man and who is the good? Unfortunately, we will never know, but
I admit I am a cold man, and that situation could have been avoided, but Kanji
deserved to die, and why do I believe this? He would have died anyway, I was
just saving time and saving my life. But they tried to get the other one dead,
they tried killing me too. But you cant kill something that is immortal. Not one
person has succeeded, and this is why I am so powerful, and the reason why I
live today.
The scene now comes back to reality, and we are in a hospital where 'The Outlaw' is bandaged up, as some stitches are being attached. A team of police officers surround the ward as Nicky is smiling eagerly, knowing that he may be still able to wrestle, and that his mortal enemies are now locked up in jail. The realization of this is sinking in, as 'The Outlaw' gets to his feet, but a police officer stops him.
Mr. Mills, are you aware that these men, known as the Red Dragons, are known gangsters?
Of coarse, that's why I went and did their speech. They were going to pay me for it.
Nicholas Mills, I am arresting you for armed robbery and murder. You do not have to say anything, but anything you do say may be used in a court of law. You have the right to remain silent, and If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you.
Nicky eyes down the officer, and laughs as they crowd around him, and manage to handcuff him. As he is being led away, he smirks at the camera as the scene fades to complete black.
