On The Run?
So Reed Harrington has done it. But not without sceptics.
Now let's look at the facts. 'The Real Man' pulled the victory out of nowhere. Just as Nicky had dominated the entire match, and had the challenger beat, Reed just managed to beat Nicky. He shocked him. That doesn't make him a fighter, that makes him a loser, who pulled the win just as Mills had him beat. Pathetic, when you think about it.
However, that is not the real story. It is rumoured that Nicky got into a backstage confrontation with the new champion after the match and they came to blows. Fly and Strong were forced to intervene to pull Nicky away from Reed, as their feud however, does not seem to be over. Harrington may have the belt, but Nicky still has the one thing Reed is jealous about: the champions wife.
Just after this happened, Nicky left without saying a word to his team-mates, and now he has been rumoured to have disappeared, maybe leaving the wrestling scene altogether. Could this be true?
Well, we are about to find out whether Nicky Mills has wrestled his last match, or whether this is only the beginning of the end for the reign of Harrington.
The scene opens just after the rumoured backstage incident, as the new TnT owner Jonny Fly and his agent Kent Strong are in the Dynasty locker room, and both men look largely concerned as Strong is on his cell phone, attempting to contact the now former TnT World champion, Nicky Mills. We can hear the Wall2k vs Andy Gorgadore matchup commentary on a nearby monitor and Strong angrily slams the cell phone onto the table, which then we hear the phone break on the wooden table. Fly turns to see Strong with a rather angry look judging from his body actions. Jonny has changed to his wrestling gear and suddenly, the door swings open, and a figure walks right past them. Strong notices who it is, and then begins to speak up
Kent Strong: Are you cool now? Where the hell were you you?
'The Outlaw' Nicky Mills: Getting fresh air, what do you think?
Fly walks to Mills and puts his hand on his shoulder.
Jonny Fly: Nicky, I know how it's got to piss you off that you had that match in your control. We all know it! You lived up to your word about getting out of that slump. You'll get the belt back, I promise. I don't blame you for being pissed. But man, you really shouldn't have confronted Harrington. Taunting him about his wife and all......he looked as if he was going to tear you in two.
Nicky's head turns in Fly's direction, and he lets a smile escape his lips before beginning to speak.
'The Outlaw' Nicky Mills: Do you think he would have? Jonny? Is he that much of a threat?
Fly seems rather taken aback by this question, but lets out a short answer.
We know your better than him. He was angry though. This situation aint over yet, so you'll get another shot at the belt.
This isnt about the belt! Fuck the belt! He thinks he can just pull out a win and except to get away with it?
Oh right, and so you start a fight? You provoked him! Man, your a loose cannon. Stop acting like this!
Nicky lets out a roar of laughter and breaks the laugh with a smile, as he wipes off some blood he must have got during the fight, and turns back to Strong.
I'll be at the Cruicible. If I dont win that, then maybe this isn't for me.
Wait.....what?
Fly's question is not answered as Nicky goes out of sight, and Strong lets out a sigh and shakes his head.
Let him chill out. His intensity is going to be through the roof!
Yeah, that's for sure. I think he's going to be harder to beat in that match now that he's all pissed off.
The two men head out of the locker room and the scene fades to black, but not before going to a flashback of the events.
Aftermath of Nicky Mills vs. Reed Harrington
The Backstage Confrontation
The end of the match between Nicky Mills and Reed Harrington is shown, and then the camera switches backstage, and Reed almost has tears in his eyes, as people backstage are cheering and applauding what they have seen and Reed's title win. The High Rollers are waiting for him, as Thunder and Vetalo walk up to him and each of them hug Harrington, who is almost exhausted. They help him keep to his feet, but shouts can be heard from, and people are dying their cheers down as the now former champion has a sick look on his face, which is stained with redness from anger. Vetalo and Thunder have that grin on their face as Nicky is shouting obscenities at anyone in his way, who all back away from the pissed off Welshman.
HEY! YOU SORRY BASTARD! TURN AROUND AND FACE ME!
Thunder and Vetalo look ready to fight, but Harrington tells them to let it happen. Harrington walks up to Nicky, and the probability of trouble starting has increased dramatically.
I want my belt! You didn't beat me! It's mine!
Reed Harrington: What you gonna do, Mills? You took my woman...I took your belt. Deal with it!
Lindsey walks through the curtain and seeing the trouble, walks over to Nicky, who grins and speaks again.
Yeah, you got that. But you should see the kind of action I've been dealing with lately! Lindsay's pussy has been working like clockwork!
Harrington laughs at this, but we can see an angry look in his eyes, one of absolute fury. Nicky has a grin on his face, as Reed speaks up in response.
Oh yeah. That's good.
Harrington delivers a devastating right hook to Nicky's chin, and all hell breaks loose, as the two begin beating the daylights out of each other, no man backing down from this backstage fight. Jonny Fly and Alexi Draconis run towards the fight and grab Mills, making sure he doesnt throw another punch. Thunder and Vetalo immediately make sure Reed doesn't attempt to continue the fight, as the two groups drag their fighters in opposite directions, while Nicky and Reed are shouting obscenities at one another.
I GOT YOUR NUMBER, YOU LIMEY BASTARD!
THIS ISNT OVER, HARRINGTON! I WANT MY BELT!
Lindsey follows the Dynasty members, Nicky trying to break free of his team-mates grasp who make sure he doesnt go anywhere. By now, many people have gathered to the backstage scene, while Strong is seen walking fast towards the two Dynasty attempting to restrain Mills. They take him into the office of Strong, who follows them into the room, and locks the door, the camera still watching this. Nicky, seeing this, holds out his arms and his team-mates let him go, Strong now looking irate.
I want an explanation from you! NOW!
Strong, I don't need an explanation.
Oh yes you do! You lost not only the belt in your first defence, but cause a backstage brawl in the aftermath.
He fucking tricked me. I thought he was down and out.
Well, you thought wrong then, didn't you?
Nicky shoves Strong, hearing that comment, and Fly shoves Mills to the opposite wall, defending his agent. Alexi grabs a bottle of water and throws the entire contents over Nicky's head. Jonny laughs at the sight of this, but Nicky is obviously not fazed by this.
The hell would you know?! I had him under control, and your gonna shift the blame on ME for that?!
Well, we weren't gonna leave you out of the dark, was I? You were automatically the number one contender. But you didnt have to go and start a fight with him! That's not good business. and you know that for damn sure that fighting isnt what we're about! He took your belt, but this isnt about the belt now. I want you COOL, alright?
Nicky smashes his first against the desk and puts a hole through it, then turns back to Strong.
Oh yeah, I'm cool. I want some fresh air.
Dont even think about going to Harrington's dressing room!
Nah, I just need to have a clear head.
Alexi, go with him and make sure. Come back when you have a cool head, hey.
Whatever. Now open the fucking door!
Strong takes the set of keys on his desk and unlocks the door, and Nicky and Alexi head out of the room as the scene slowly fades to black.
The scene then resumes backstage , during the Crucible, and Nicky walks through the curtain , having being eliminated, without a word to anybody. Strong attempts to console Mills, who just plainly ignores him. The camera follows Mills who walks towards his suite, taking his bag, and heading down to the parking lot, where he notices the camera is following him.
A right hand knocks the cameraman down, and the scene then abruptly ends, a shout from Lindsey attempting to stop Mills but to no avail. Strong can then be heard cursing not being able to stop Mills, who has now apparently exited the arena.
Opening in a New York police station, it seems rather crowded, people walking up and down, talking about cases and such other things. However, a group of detectives are talking about a case they have been assigned to. One of them is however, watching the pay per view of the Crucible, and it has just ended. Three officers are in the room in total, one of them a tall figure with short black hair. The other is a small man with ginger hair and a little ginger moustache, the typical look for a police chief, but instead the man is a detective. The man watching the small monitor is another tall officer wearing a baseball cap and normal street clothes, his blond hair shielded by the red cap which almost covers his entire face. The small detective then begins to speak up.
Officer #1: You know, I have a feeling this wrestling and those terrorist attacks are connected.
The detective watching the television turns his head to the small detective.
Officer #2: What makes you say that?
Think about it. There's a wrestler in the wrestling organisation called Nicky Mills. He was recently diagnosed with a split personality.
That Mills guy? Is that not just a character?
No. He really does have a split personality. This voice is controlling him to some extent.
The officer, who has not yet spoken, laughs as he hears this.
Officer #3: He's one of the biggest troublemakers wrestling has. He's been arrested on numerous occasions for assaults that took place in TnT Wrestling. We never had enough evidence to prosecute him.
But could he be involved in those terrorist attacks? A witness said there was a person hanging out of a window just before the sniper incidents.
They weren't hit with a sniper. They were machine gun bullet in a police cruiser.
Wait a second...that Reed Harrington incident when he says Nicky Mills hired a woman to kill him. Then Nicky was quoted to have told Reed that he paid off the cops. Do you think that....
All the officers have an uncomfortable moment of silence, and then their eyes widen in shock.
He's responsible for these attacks! If Reed is telling the truth, Nicky is responsible for the bus bomb in Canada!
I want a search warrant! It's going to be a matter of time before he finds out we're after him, because the cops he paid off could be anyone. I want those officers confined to the station, if Reed's allegations are true, and you are not to mention the situation to anyone but the F.B.I and the C.I.A. We cant trust the officers here, they could be paid to inform Mills.
The officer in the baseball cap nods, and picks up his cell phone and his conversation is drowned out.
We need him found! Where was he last seen?
He left for New York just a few days ago.
OH NO! He must not leave the country!
The scene then abruptly fades to black as the detectives head out of the room, and the officers are quick
While the sirens of police cars can be heard in the distance of an unknown airport in New York City, and we see a large white plane, which is possibly a private one. A pickup truck can be seen as Jonny Fly and Kent Strong are seen, along with a figure who is loading up the plane. Putting all the bags in the plane except for a large bag, which he drops on the ground, the figure walks up to the two men who greet him with a hug.
Sorry guys. I don't know how they found out.
It's alright. I think it was Reed running his mouth. How the fuck did he know though?
I don't know. Must have just assumed it.
Listen, you guys had better get out of here. I'll take care of those fucking cops. Give myself a good sendoff.
Nicky and Fly embrace each other with a hug one last time, and then Strong and Mills do the same. Getting into the pickup truck, the two men then drive off. Soon, a helicopter begins to fly around and a large megaphone echoes the shout of surrendering. Mills takes the bag and opening it, it seems to be a large gun. Nicky aims it towards the helicopter, and fires a bullet at the helicopters. Police patrol cars appear then drive onto the scene, and Mills begins firing at the cars, then taking something else from the bag, aims this at the gang of patrol cars, and shouts with a hint of happiness.
Fools! Enjoy your trip to Hell courtesy of Nicky Mills!
The megaphone booms for him to stop, and fires a few rounds. As bullet splattered patrol cars containing dead police officers lie, a gang of others arrive on the scene. Nicky seeing this, throws the bag into the plane, along with the large rifle, but continues to fire the machine gun at the gang of police officers, and all the rounds seem to be hitting them at a unbelievable rate. He reaches the door of the plane, and it closes up as the helicopter begins to follow it as it begins to take off. It fires rounds at it, but none of them seem to affect the plane, which eventually takes off right into the distance. The final scene is that of carnage, as the bodies of police officers and the blood stains the concrete runway, as the scene slowly fades to black, possibly for the last time.
