'Act III'
Part IV
The scene opens just hours away before probably one of the greatest matches in TNT history, the vacant Heavyweight title match between 'The Outlaw' Nicky Mills and Nic Totopoulous. The crowd are seen packing into the already busy arena known as the Staples Centre. Scooping around the entire arena are fans waiting to enter despite the very hot day. They begin acknowledging the camera and cheering at it, cheering all sorts of names.
One of them however, they fans keep talking about is the name of Nicky Mills. Many people are now behind the man they once despised and loathed because he has turned over a new leaf. Ever since his feud ended with the God's Disciples, he has changed into a man who only cares about wrestling. His entire life will always be professional wrestling, and tonight, the opportunity to secure the grand prize is his.
Going around the actual arena, ring technicians are setting up the ring and backstage, wresters are starting to arrive at the arena for their matches. Eric Baxter is seen talking with a couple of staff members while Nic Totopoulous is seen arriving at the actual arena. The fans cheer his name when they notice him but he ignores them as he seems to be in a deep conversation with Billy Dee. What could they be talking about? The camera continues to look around, and then switches.
Opening in the locker room suite of Nicky Mills, Mills is by himself with his head buried in his hands, thinking of what could happen tonight. Could he finally win the match that he failed to win last week, or will this be yet another failure on his record? Many thoughts must be running through his mind and looking up, he stands up and looks at himself in the mirror. Wearing street clothes, a white tee shirt and a pair of black denim jeans.
Everything is riding on tonight, he thinks to himself. This is make or break, and tonight is the final stage to be a champion. Suddenly, his door is slowly opened and the camera looks at it to be Cole Matthews. Mills looks at him and lets out a large sigh, then turning away from the mirror and turning to Cole, who begins to speak.
Cole Matthews: How are you feeling?
Nicky doesn't answer for a short time, and takes a bottle of water and begins drinking it. He paces around before sitting down and taking out of his bag, is the Eurasian title. He stares at it before turning his head to Matthews and answering him.
'The Outlaw' Nicky Mills: How am I supposed to feel, Cole? Honestly? I feel like shit.
Well...
No, let me retract that. I'm nervous. This is the opportunity to secure another championship in my career. To finally beat Nic Totopoulous, to know that I am better than him and that this will be the final chapter in this entire feud. I beat him in an IronMan match, but this is bigger than the Eurasian title. This is bigger than our feud. THIS, is what it's all about. The TNT Heavyweight championship. Everything rides on this.
Yeah. But what are you thinking?
What am I thinking? Let me tell you. Last time I was in this situation, I lost. I lost to a man who did no training whatsoever. I lost to a talentless piece of shit who knows one thing. Hardcore. I'm no hardcore wrestler, and I never have been. But I made many mistakes in that match. This time, it wont happen. I will not let the same mistakes happen again. I was owed this shot when me and Jonny met right before he quit. See, in the public eye, we were having problems. But we had one last meeting. I was owed all of these Eurasian title shots, and I won a six way against Cundiff, Bucky, Major, and whoever else was in the match. He told me I deserved the title shot, and he signed the match. But then this stuff with Billy Dee happened, and I got into a war with the Disciples.
Right.
It came down to me and Nic Totopoulous, a talented athlete and one hell of a wrestler. I was proud to face him and he's the toughest I've ever had the pleasure of wrestling. I won the Iron Man, the first I've ever had in my entire career. Thirty minutes of hell, and I came out on top. That was it, and it was supposed to end. Then I finally had my title shot against Jimmy Vetalo. THAT was my guaranteed title shot. And I lost... I came out with nothing.
Beat down by those two fucking losers. They quit the company because they couldn't face the guys who knew their bullshit was about to come to an end. But... I lost. I lost against a man who I promised myself not to lose to. I made so many mistakes and not realizing it. He knew that I could outwrestle him, and so he made me change my tune to a Hardcore match. But he didn't do what he did to Wilson and Major. No, I still kept my pride. I'm still the greatest ever, and I'll always be better than him, no matter how many wins and losses I have. His image means shit to me.
But, people then wondered what I was going to do now I'd lost. And then it was answered. I have another title shot set by the new owner of the company. And the fans want to see it, the wrestlers want to see it, and me and Nic want to do it. This is the match which could make or break my career. And you honestly want to know how I feel?
Yeah.
Mills looks at the belt before placing it aside. Smiling, he then laughs and slaps Matthews on the shoulder before speaking again.
I feel great. This is what it's all about. The championship. But I've beaten Nic Totopoulous before, and damnit, I can do it again. I promise everyone that we will give the performances of our lives. But there's only ONE person walking out with the belt, and there's no way in hell it's going to be Nic Totopoulous. I've got too much riding on this match just to lose it to Nic. No, you will see the very best from Nicky Mills, and unfortunately, Nic will not be able to handle it.
This will be the greatest wrestling you've ever seen, but it will not be his night. He can make all the promises, guarantees, and talks about the new era all he wants. He is not the right person to lead TNT Wrestling and to take out Eric or Macintosh. Nicky Mills, on the other hand, is. It will be me going into the Pay Per View with the belt, not him. And that's not ego, that's just the truth. As much respect as I have for him, tonight will be the night he learns that he cannot stop destiny.
'The Outlaw' smiles and then asks Cole for some privacy, as the scene slowly fades to darkness.
