'Act III'
Part II
The Drop Off
The scene opens just a few blocks away from the hotel where Nicky Mills and Travis Williams, also known by his codename 'Smith', in a quiet and alleyway. The walls are painted with vulgar sign graffiti while the area surrounding it is dusty and discarded beer cans and cigarette butts and other types of litter surround the dusty covered concrete floor. Silence covers the alleyway, possibly a feeling of 'calm before the storm'.
It is sometime in the morning and the sun is slowly crawling out while the clouds are also beginning to part themselves away. In the distance however, a dark blue nine Impala Hardtop Lowrider begins to pull into the alleyway. Then behind it, the same car but with black paint and a flame decoration pulls up behind it.The men step out of the car and begin looking around. The men are wearing white vests but with the word 'Bandits' and each looks rather dirty, possibly from living in dirty conditions as their skin is bronzed from the weather and they are all wearing sunglasses.
All have cigarettes hanging from the side of their mouths while they puff away without moving their hands. The side door opens from one of the cars and looks annoyed with the men, who are now lounging about, their machine guns hanging from a strap across their chest. He has short black hair which has been spiked up and a faint beard and moustache on his angry looking face. He slams the door which alerts all of the others and they turn to him quickly with their eyes widened. The 'leader' is dressed differently from all the others because he is wearing a white tuxedo. He curses them in the Mexican language and a snarl appears on the side of his lips while he sits on the Lowrider.
The men's cursing and shouting are interrupted by a large black limousine pulling into the alleyway, which almost covers it up with the gigantic vehicle. The men turn their attention and murmur to each other while their 'leader', who is probably Rodrigo Sanchez, the leader of the Mexican gang 'The Bandits' who was mentioned by Nicky Mills in the last promo. Stepping out of the vehicle are many men dressed in normal street clothing, but immediately pull their guns towards the gang members, who repeat the same move. The boss of the Bandits begins shouting at them to put their guns down in Mexican, but the men from the limosuine doesn't listen. However, a voice startles them from the open limousine window.
Unknown: PUT DOWN YOUR GUNS! NOW!
Listening to the person inside the limo, the men from the vehicle immediatly withdraw their weapons. The large man then steps out of the car and the leader of the Bandits looks curiously to see the man who he wants to meet. He looks startled when the man, over seven feet tall, has a baseball cap and a hooded jumper to prevent his identity being sought. We know him as Travis Williams however, this is not known to the gang themselves, who all begin looking horrified.
'Smith' AKA Travis Williams: Rodrigo Sanchez?
Looking at him curiously, the leader of the Bandits spits out some tobacco juice from his mouth and smirks.
Rodrigo Sanchez: Orale! Where's the Mills guy, eh?
I'm his business partner. You can call me 'Smith'.
Sanchez begins laughing at this statement and holds his arms out as a question.
I didn't ask for no fuckin Big Foot, holmes. I want the big man himself.
He can't make it, so deal with it.
He too scared to show up to Bandit territory?
This time, Travis begins laughing and now all of the Bandit men are staring across at him. He stops laughing and his eyes pierce right through the cocky Mexican leader.
First of all, calling a block or two 'territory' is pathetic. Second of all, he's not going to waste his time just to come out here and deal with small time. I'm here, and I want the money.
Hey, calm down, essa. We're all friends. Do you have the yeyo?
Do you think I'd show up to an alleyway without it?
Good point. I got the money, cabrone, but I want the stuff first.
Tell your goons to wait by the corner, and I'll do the same with mine.
Rodrigo nods his head and shouts a command for the men to wait elsewhere. The men are reluctant but Sanchez screams at them and they eventually move reluctantly and taking the back Lowrider, drive it out of the alleyway while the gangsters on Travis' side begin to exit the alleyway. Rodrigo lights a cigarette and offers it to Travis, who shakes his head in response. After Sanchez takes a puff of his cigerette, and is sitting on the hood of his car, he begins to talk.
So tell me, big guy, who are you?
I'm Mills' right hand man.
Really? I didn't know he had two cabrones as partners.
He hired me to stay quiet and to handle his business.
Well, I need somebody like him to help me out a little. Narcotics here is slow. It takes fuckin hours to get a simple hit of coke here.
Then we can help you out then.
I heard about this Nicky guy. He's all over the television these days about somethin or other.
Yeah, that's him alright.
That wrestlin shit turns me off, but I hear about him from all over. I need help anyway with some other dickheads that have been bothering us. Shootin up our hood and stuff. I'll pay you for whatever you do, and in return, you got our gang to help you out anytime. So I take it Mills is cool with dis, eh?
Of coarse he is.
Aight, holmes. Let's get this over with.
Sanchez takes his briefcase and puts it in the middle of the gravel and waits for Travis to put his down. Walking over to where the briefcase is, he places his case down on the ground and takes the other briefcase that Rodrigo put down, while the Bandits member shoots him a look and then takes the briefcase and puts it onto the hood of his car. He opens the case and looks at the packets of white powder and takes them out to examine them. Travis opens the briefcase he has picked up and looks through the money, which is kept secure with an electric band. Travis walks over to the Mexican gangster and smiles.
I have other business to attend to, Mr Sanchez. Thank you for your time.
The two make reach out for a handshake and shake hands.
Ey, any time you need anything, you know where to look, man.
Both men walk away towards their vehicles as the scene slowly fades to darkness while the other gangsters return and the alleyway in a matter of seconds becomes totally empty.
The One Winged Angel
While the drug deal between the Bandits' leader, Rodrigo Sanchez, and right hand man of Nicky Mills, Travis Williams AKA codename 'Smith' is happening, we scan back to the hotel, the local Holiday Inn which is still busy but wrestlers are beginning to leave to go to Los Angeles, California for the next Mayhem.
Wrestling fans in groups of three or four are discussing the many events that have surrounded TNT Wrestling, including the news of the High Rollers leaving, and the highly anticipated matches between Eric Baxter and Macintosh Rogers, and the main attraction where two men with heavy amounts of respect for each other and stole the show recently in the Iron Man match, 'The Outlaw' Nicky Mills and Nic Totopoulous, the leader of the God's Disciples and a TNT legend. The winner could be any of the two men but the promise of a great match has already been told.
However, we look up at the hotel room of TNT Wrestling One Winged Angel, who is packing his clothes and such other things in the hotel into a large suitcase. Wearing his trademark gear, he finally closes the briefcase and a thought runs through his mind which he quickly disregards. A loud rapping on the door startles him and he turns his full attention to the door and his face has a mask of anger on it.
One Winged Angel: Who is it? I'm busy here, moron!
The rapping continues once again, not answering the verbal call of the One Winged Angel. Angry and frustrated that someone is interrupting him, he storms over to the door and opens it without looking at the door. Immediatly after seeing the identity of the person knocking at his door, he makes a quick motion to shut the door, but the person blocks it with his foot and storms into the room. The One Winged Angel looks up and see's the man looking at him, and swings a right hand at him, which is blocked and he is pushed up against the wall with great force.
Asshole! What do you want?!
Identifying the intruder is none other than Nicky Mills, wearing a TNT logo white tee shirt and a pair of blue denim jeans and a pair of black sunglasses to cover his eyes. He doesn't let go of his death grip, but stares into the eyes of his former enemy.
Nicky Mills: I'm here to talk to you, man. Settle down!
Get those disgusting Welsh hands off me or I'll promise you...
Shut up and listen to me!
Finally letting go of the One Winged Angel, Mills takes off his sunglasses and looks at the One Winged Angel, who merely stares back with anger, probably ready to fight. 'The Outlaw' on the other hand, is calm and collected, and doesn't recognize this, but takes a deep breath and shakes his head when looking at his former ally and also former enemy.
First of all, you need to know something, because your good friend refuses to speak to you himself, so I have to do this.
Get out of my room, Mills, or I'll force you out. And believe me, you don't want me to have to resort to acts of violence.
Nicky ignores the threat and continues to speak.
You remember the secret...right?
When he says this, the mind of the One Winged Angel casts back to flashbacks of his former self, Jeremy Cundiff. The actions of Mills to prevent him from telling everyone and the pain and suffering the wrestler went though when trying to tell the truth because of the actions of the man standing opposite him. But his mind stops the thoughts, and the One Winged Angel finally comes back to reality.
Yeah, that...
Stop. Don't say another word. It's bad enough he's even alive, nobody needs to know how or why. And to be honest, I don't know myself.
Fair deal.
But you need to know something anyway.
The One Winged Angel smiles and then sneers at Nicky, who looks at him with confusion. Why is he acting so cold and unforgiving? This should be the moment that he finds out everything, and he doesn't care. Mills wonders whether to tell him or not, and decides to tell him anyway, even though he may not care, someday he will think back to what was said to him.
Travis... shouldn't be alive. But he is. I found him through an associate of mine and at first, I couldn't believe it. Do you know how I found out about...the secret?
Not that I care, but go on...
Your girlfriend told me, actually. You know...when she fucked me because you were so obsessed with yourself and your career? With that damn secret of yours that you were willing to destroy the entire business over? Andrea knew that you would have done it, so she came to me.
She slept with me because it was the only thing she could do to get me to hurt you, to make you retract that little threat. And I did. You never spoke of the secret. But then when I saw him alive, I was a different person. There was no threat anymore of telling everyone, because at that time, you were my friend. Travis, as much as he hates hiding, knows never to come out.
The One Winged Angel is silent and doesn't say a thing. Nicky on the other hand, takes this as a sign to continue.
Travis works for me now. He's part of something beautiful.
What are you talking about?
At first, wrestling was my life, and it is. It always will be. But you can't make a living on always wrestling. No, you need to have something else to truly be powerful, have everything you could ever want. Drugs... I wouldn't touch the stuff now, but I know junkies, schoolchildren, and losers who would, such as...you. You, my friend, are the reason why I chose it. Looking at you, how much you smoked, it was amazing.
And then I thought when my partner approached me at first, it was too dangerous. But then I saw how easily people could be manipulated. Hey, business is business. I don't want people to die as much as anybody else, but drugs are dangerous. But now a Williams brother, the family you are apart of, is working for me. His identity will never come out, but you needed to know. Travis is a good man, and he knows his ways, but he is a liability if anybody finds out he is alive. I went through too much preventing your very self from telling a soul.
Andrea, me, you, that's all who know. But only me and you know what Travis' real intentions are. What he's doing now. And I just thought you needed to know. Your brother is nothing but a drug dealer, and you, my friend, need to wake up to reality. This...bullshit...needs to stop. Your fucking pathetic with that costume. Everytime you see me, Jeremy, you'll see your brother. And eventually, the world will come crashing down on the One Winged Angel.
Not saying a word, the One Winged Angel has not moved a muscle and has only listened. Nicky shakes his head and walks out of the hotel room, slamming the door behind him. The scene then slowly fades to darkness.
