'Back From The Dead'
Part II
Setting The Record Straight
Several hours have passed after the XPWA event which saw the newly formed 'Revolution' group, some of professional wrestling's best wrestlers in the industry, invade the company and beat down some of the wrestlers after a gruelling match. We find out that Andy Gorgadore has defected from the XPWA to the invaders themselves, making the group more powerful. The undenying fact that the men have single handidly killed the United Wrestling Alliance by destroying it's wrestlers and assaulting both CEO's Jada Fox and Dr Alexander only makes them a more powerful force. However, the events of the XPWA show were interesting as the owners did not seem a bit concerned with what the wrestlers had done, instead offering them to wrestle next week for their contracts, excluding Andy Gorgadore, who is already their World champion and signed with the company. Nicky Mills declared his match with Michael Edwards, who the men had beaten down earlier, and said that they had unfinished business with each other.
Every professional wrestler and fan knows that Nicky Mills and Michael Edwards had a hate for each other that no other feud could have. Some fans could have called it almost real. Nicky set out to play mind games with Edwards and made his life a misery, even going to the extent of setting his sights on Edwards' then-girlfriend Sarah and even going to the lengths of hitting her during a contracts signing. Things got so bad that the two could not physically assault each other otherwise the aggressor would be fired. It all ended in a 'Night of Hell' match, a match that UWA had never seen before because of the brutality that both wrestlers would go through. Both men accepted it, Sarah trying to get her husband to not wrestle a man who was set out to cripple him. Nicky aired a 'funeral' segment for Edwards, a tasteless piece of propaganda that made him an even bigger asshole in the fans eye' than ever before. Edwards remained strong and never backed down from the almost psychopathic wrestler, his constant attitude to any opponent who sets out to end his career.
The match, however, was so brutal that it has never been repeated again. Nicky and Edwards could not continue due to the punishment that both men had sustained on each other and the match was ruled a draw, which angered some long-time fans and even the wrestlers themselves. Some say that Nicky could not end the feud he had created and had to go to the length of beating Edwards down after the match after a fake handshake between the two while others say that the feud did not go further beyond because Edwards was irate at UWA. Nonetheless, the feud has always remained and Nicky has always wanted to finish his feud with 'The Golden Boy' of the United Wrestling Alliance. At the XPWA show Overload, this match will occur and it will be the final showdown of wrestling's biggest feud. But just who will walk away the winner? If Nicky wins, he wins a contract and finally proves that he was always better than Michael Edwards while if Edwards wins, he would have won the feud and prevented Nicky from a contract. Not only is the contract of Nicky Mills on the line, but pride is also. It's just a matter of 'wait and see' regarding their words for each other, however.
The local Marriot hotel in Seattle, Washington is currently come to some of the XPWA wrestlers who are staying because of the show there. 6.00AM is a rather horrible time for some people to be getting out of their beds to go to work or to catch a flight or bus or another means of travel. However, one of the hotel rooms is being occupied by members of the Revolution, the wrestlers who both invaded UWA and XPWA. Sean Segrada, Rilo, Spitfly and Andy Gorgadore are sitting at a round wooden table with cards on the table. Nicky, however, is using the remote control and is flicking through television channels. A loud shout is heard from the table as Rilo raises his fist in the air and proclaims his victory.
Rilo: HAND IT OVER, BOYS!
Sean Segrada is the first to speak up, an angry face staring back at the UWA World champion.
Sean Segrada: Fuck you, man. I aint handing over shit.
You lost. So hand my money over, asshole.
But you cheated.
Mills... did I cheat?
Nicky begins watching a report about the fall of the United Wrestling Alliance and the announcement that Jada Fox has lost her baby. He doesn't hear Rilo's question, who shouts it louder for him to hear.
MILLS! DID I CHEAT?
If you call knowing the other guys cards using your wizardry, yeah.
See? I cant play cards with a cheating wizard.
Don't make me set you on fire, Segrada.
I'd knock three pounds of crap out of you.
Andy and Spitfly begin sniggering at the confrontation between two of wrestlings most hated individuals. Rilo quickly flashes the gaze of hate from Sean towards Gorgadore.
Andy Gorgadore: No offence, Rilo, but your a shit player at cards.
Spitfly: Haven't you got better things to do such as go back to that stupid planet of yours? What a crappy name, Pan...
Fine, you try surviving one of their torture sessions and see how far that gets you. I nearly died and I'm supposed to be a tough bastard and all.
Speaking of tough, where's Jeremy?
Did he go and get stoned again? So typical.
Mills hasn't told the others yet about what Cundiff told him back at the construction site in London because of the fact he has only just been released from their custody.
Look, I dont know what's gonna happen with J.
Why? What exactly happened at that construction site?
I'm not going to get into it.
I could easily find out.
So? Go ahead and find out but it's not up for discussion. Anyway, we have to see about Jeremy. I support him on whatever he does.
The cops let you go even though Travis and Christian are dead?
That's kinda weird.
But they still released you?
Let's just say... Travis got the blame. Here endeth the discussion, bitches.
You've been dead for months and now you can just walk around... man, I have to try that out sometime.
Go ahead. Nobody would miss you anyway.
SILENCE!
For a second, everyone pipes down and nobody says a word. The others begin laughing and throwing their cards at Rilo who walks towards the drinks cabinet and pulls out a bottle of whiskey.
Fine, I'll drink you assholes under the table.
Nah. You'd probably poison my drink with rat shit or something.
Well, don't give him the idea, man. He'd probably do that.
A knocking on the door quickly startles the men in the room as the door is opened to reveal an XPWA cameraman and an interviewer, who is your typical run of a the mill Josh Matthews. In other words, a real pain in the ass for all involved.
Man, who sent you? We keep telling you, we're not your goons so we don't have to talk to you. How many times can you morons be told that?
Interviewer: Since Andy won't speak to us, we were sent to interview Mills.
The eyes around the room quickly fix onto Nicky's who looks at Gorgadore before shrugging his shoulders at them and then turning his head to face the interviewer.
Aight, I'll talk to you. Any advice, Andy?
Yeah, don't show them your ass.
A big warm fuck you too, Rilo.
Nicky takes a cigarette from a pack of cigarettes he has magically pulled out of his jeans pocket and the cameraman manages to give him a light. Nicky heads out of the room and down the hallway as the interviewer follows and the scene fades out.
So, what exactly do you guys want?
Your the talk of the wrestling world, man. Every internet website is reporting what happened in London and how you were released, not to mention how your suddenly alive and well even though your body was found at the harbour.
So?
Is it true that Travis tried to have you killed?
Pretty much.
An enclosed room in the Marriot hotel is witness to the interview between Nicky Mills and the XPWA. Mills is taking a drink of Pepsi soda from a can while laying back on the sofa. He seems rather laid back and casual, rather like the typical Nicky we saw back in the day before he changed.
So, what exactly happened?
I've been advised not to talk about it since the police want to keep it tight lipped. The facts are that Christian and Travis are dead, I was arrested, I was released and now I'm sitting here talking to you.
I mean, your death and everything.
Wasn't me on the dock.
Then, who was it?
No idea. He looked like me but it wasn't me, see? Listen, let's move on since I can't give you any more information.
Nicky is reluctant to talk about the events that almost took his life. Was he injured? Was he hurt? No. It seems that the person on the dock was not actually the real Nicky Mills. A tense aura begins to slowly circulate around the room as 'The Outlaw' takes another sip from his Pepsi can before setting it down.
Let's move on. Now, in a week's time, you have to step in the ring with a man who is quite frankly one of the biggest legends to ever step face in the ring. He is a United Wrestling Alliance Hall of Famer, a multiple World champion and a contender for the belt here. Everyone wants a shot at him and...
Now, everything you've just said is a fat lie except for that last one. 'Everyone wants a shot at him'. I wont take away from the fact that Michael is successful because he is. Then again, I was successful. I made movies which only Jonny Fly could dream of making, made money that would make Bill Gates blush with envy and drove around in hot cars that Diddy would cry to have. THAT is fame, my friend. Edwards? He has nothing except ancient title reigns and a playboy attitude that bores me to no end. That isn't the Michael Edwards I knew long ago. He's changed.
Everyone knows you two have a feud that goes way back. Why did you choose Michael Edwards to face next week and not any of our other wrestlers? We have Hellraiser, Gorgadore, Arch Angel, Havok and such others... Why Edwards?
Hellraiser is, shall I say, a knife short of a drawer. Gorgadore is my team-mate, Angel and Havok are typical trash talking morons. And dont even get me started on Justin Sane, whose promo skills are equivalent to that of Rollin Thunder, always saying the same old bullshit. So that leaves Edwards. But I chose him because he is afraid of me. Say, what's your name again?
Tom.
Tom, Edwards will probably come out and say that I sucked, I'm over-rated, your typical old school mentality crap. I expect that from a man who has never been as successful as Nicky Mills. I sold out more arena's than he did, I sold more merchandise than he did, I even went and became a better wrestler than he did. And I've been the only person to EVER draw with Edwards at his very best. Rubeus Dahrkov got a lucky win the next week but me? I took him to the edge, Tom. For months, I made his life a misery. I had Sarah Morgan dripping between her legs with her juices just wanting to ride on my dick and hump me like a sexually frustrated forty year old male whose only access to sex is masturbation because his wife doesn't 'get it up' anymore. She played the 'damsel in distress' really well and it's no wonder she left him. He is a former shadow of the once great Michael Edwards.
But some people may call that almost psychotic behaviour. You damn well tortured Jeremy Cundiff with it for several months during your feud.
Who wouldn't call that psychotic? Michael handled it like he always does, talks about how bad I was. I mean, he doesn't know how me and her had something together. Actually, nobody knows until now.
What? Really?
Sarah was tired of Michael's behaviour and she came to me, Tom. Hell, all women flew at my feet. It wasn't surprising as she had a daughter and everything. But she got down on her hands and knees and begged for me to let her into my life, for her to be my bitch. It was like she could never do it before. I remember sticking that beautiful tongue of mine into her mouth and tasting her... she was a great piece of ass and it made the feud more fun. Why? Because while Edwards was whining and crying about my 'mind' games, I was banging his wife while she was screaming my name like it was the one thing in her life that mattered.
But that doesn't make any sense. They were happy together. So you basically came along and ruined his marriage, IF your allegations are true.
But that didn't stop HER, did it? She was a whore. And what do whore's do? They find the nearest dick to ride on. And she just found me, see? Now... at this point in time, I could say that I was talking shit then. That's for you to decide, Michael. Am I lying? Look at her the next time you go and visit your child and ask her that question and I bet she'll give you the tears she gave me and the "I'm sorry, please eat my pussy" routine. Why? Because I played you for the bitch that you were.. but then I'm wrong when I say that.
Why are you wrong?
Deep down, not beating Edwards has been like a cancer spreading through my body and eating away at me until it's got hold of me. Not being able to finish his career was like an impending death sentence on everything I tried to accomplish. It was sickening to see him walk around like nothing had happened while I had to be suspended because of the Legend Killers' politics. For months after, I dreamed of the moment that I'd face him and be able to lock in the Legends Pain and hear his screams of pain, watching every fan that ever loved him see the man for the fraud that he was. However, next week will change all that.
As an answer to your question, why am I worthy of facing Michael Edwards? I believe the question should be "Why is HE worthy of facing me?". Think about it, who's done more than he will ever do? Me. Who's had the gold, the flash, the women, the hot cars, the suits more than him? Me. He's a loser who relies on past glory to see him continue his career. Me? I'm a new man, Tom. You could have a match with Hellraiser against Edwards, Edwards against Gorgadore, Edwards against Justin Sane... but none of those guys except Gorgadore could ever match up against him. And that's where I come in. Because if anyone needs to be sent home with their balls in a sling, it's 'The Golden Boy'. And I will be personally responsible for his demise. But you've heard this all before... only this time, I will beat him. I will win my debut and secure my contract to smash this company to pieces.
But you promised this last time. You told everyone in a funeral segment dedicated to him he was going to die and it didn't happen.
That's because unfortunately, I couldn't finish him. I held back because of Sarah. Tom, if you had a piece of ass begging you to not hurt her husband and as a reward, you would be able to fuck her in her sweet ass, what would you pick?
Um...
You would pick the first choice. So Michael was lucky that I wasn't trying to kill him but was trying to beat him. And I failed. And I've never forgotten how close I was to pinning him 1...2...3. So now, the XPWA show will consist of a match every fan wants to see. The rematch of Edwards versus Mills. I'm ready, Tom. I'm ready to debut in a match that would destroy the Main Event and make Hellraiser cry to be the wrestler that I am because he failed to become anything but a good wrestler. It's going to be a blockbuster but... who wins? And you'll find out next week.
But you've not competed in several months. Is there a chance you might not last against Michael Edwards?
What I've been through in the next few months is enough. I'll train and prepare like never before while Edwards will probably lay back on his ass and think I'm the same guy I was before Travis tried to kill me. But you'll be surprised on what change can do to you, Tom. And I can almost guarantee that when I face Edwards, my sole concentration will be to put him out of business. But I do have one reason why I believe he's good... because the XPWA is the worst wrestling company on earth.
Why do you say that?
Look at it's wrestlers. Look at Overload and it's incredibly crap show. The highlight, the saving grace was us invading. See, when I watched the show, I thought "Why does every match have to be a gimmick match?" Andy nearly killed himself to win his belt and then two other wrestlers try up shadow him by putting on a stupid 'I hit you, you hit me' match with ladders, barbed wire and other weapons. And this happens on a regular basis. You know what that shows? Those two couldn't wrestle for shit and needed gimmicks to get themselves over. Robert Kane? The Firm Owns Robert Kane. Those guys weren't around for long, but they ripped his bitch ass apart until there was nothing left. He whined and cried to management and they had them fired. Everytime he opens his mouth, it's full of typical street language used by nigger pimps and crack whores.
And I have shown just how stupid he is to think he can waltz back and try take the World title when his wrestling skills were exposed as being some of the worst since Jimmy Vetalo. Hellraiser? He choked in UWA and he chokes here. He's probably got Mike bent over for a damn job and it sickens me to even call him a 'Main Eventer' when he is the equivalent of Rage, and we ALL know what happened to him, don't we?
Yes. So what your saying is, most of the XPWA's wrestlers are not very good?
Precisely. Apart from Andy and Edwards and the rest of the invasion, all the other wrestlers need hardcore matches and gimmicks to put themselves over with the fans. So that's why we want to kill XWA for good, to end it's rip off impersonation of ECW. Just look at the card this week. My comrades will easily rid of those idiots they're facing in the tag while I will personally take care of Michael Edwards. It's too good to be true.
That's quite a statement. What are your plans in XPWA? Will you be going for the World title?
No. I'm not interested in Andy Gorgadore's belt. It's his and he deserves it. However, I am interested in taking the XPWA Tag team belts or that United States championship. I believe that the winners of the Tag match, if they had any sense, would face me and my partner and drop the belts but knowing some of these brainless morons, they would come guns blazing. Hell, Nicky doesn't do 'guns blazing'. He does 'career ending' and THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is the sole reason of my success. Overload will be the success of the Revolution, the group that will kill the XPWA. We are the cancer going straight to the very core. Anyway. the company needs to die because it's wrestlers are just dire. Here endeth the lesson of wrestling's Godfather...
Thank you for your interview. Before you leave, however, what do you think of recent comments by a former nemesis of yours, Q Ball?
Nicky stops for a second as the room becomes silenced before laughing and answering the question in the manner that he knows how.
Q Ball is a 'Ghetto Bitch'. End of story.
The wrestler then stands up and leaves the interview as the scene fades back to darkness.
Quickly fading back into the hotel room, the wrestlers are heading down to the restaurant for dinner several hours after the XPWA interview given by Nicky Mills. Andy, Spitfly and Sean have left and are heading down the hallway while 'The Outlaw' is adjusting his white shirt which he is slowly buttoning up while the noises of people downstairs can be heard. Rilo is standing a few feet away from him with his eyes fixed on him for a very odd reason. It's not the reason that you may think but there is a look of urgency in his eyes, maybe possibly the fact that he wishes to speak to him. After a while, Rilo begins to speak.
Rilo: I need to talk to you.
Mills quickly looks into the mirror and notices Rilo standing behind him.
Nicky Mills: Yeah?
UWA is holding a Legends Show which is apparently their last show ever because we pretty much killed them.
Who's running it?
Board of Directors. Anyway, I have a proposal that might prove interesting.
Go on...
Look, we should have a leader for this Invasion group. I don't think Andy, Sean or Spitfly have the potential to lead us. They're great wrestlers but we ran this thing from start to finish. So I believe we should have a little match to find out just who's better... I mean, you've always hated the fact I smashed you with that staff.
You gave me a concussion.
Yes. That's what you get for messing with me.
What's your point?
I've been approached for us to be in the Main Event as a 'respect' match. We're not fighting for hate or any crap like that, but fighting because we really held up UWA when it was alive. And the Directors know that. Look, we should face each other for the leadership.
Just us two? Well, I guess. What do you have in mind?
They came up with something sick... a TLC X match.
Nicky quickly stops adjusting his collar and he looks shocked at the thought of the matchup. The last TLC he competed in was one of the most brutal he has ever competed in back in his career when he won the tag titles with Jeff Van Damage. But also, brutal matches have taken a toll on his body and his mind. It scares him to put himself through that pain only a few days after coming back from hiding and revealing himself to the world.
What the fuck is that?
Kinda like the X match but you have to put someone through a table, hit them with a chair and pin them. THEN, grab the X.
That sounds stupid.
Just because your afraid of fighting me.
....Fine. I'll fight you.
???: And so will I.
Rilo and Mills spin around to find Jeremy Cundiff standing in the room with a wide smile across his face. Rilo seems shocked at Cundiff's arrival while Nicky just doesn't take his eyes off Jeremy. The last time these two had seen each other was back at the construction site where Travis and Christian were killed.
Are you back for good?
Damn right. And I want in.
Sure you can handle the brutality?
Cundiff shakes his head and laughs, making both his team-mates stare back at him in wonder.
I made this game, bitches.
....Fuck. Goddamn you guys.
Let's make it official.
Rilo holds out his hand for the two men to put their hands on top of his as a sort of 'pact' between the men. Cundiff puts his hand on Rilo's and the two men move their eyes straight towards 'The Outlaw'. Nicky lets thoughts run through his mind before shrugging those aside and slapping his hand on Jeremy's.
I'll kick the shit out of you both.
Shut up and eat, dickhead.
Rolling you both up in joints and smoke your asses... THE JEREMY CUNDIFF WAY!
The three men laugh between themselves as the scene then slowly fades to darkness, with a hint of tension dividing between each of the three men. With the 'X' match and the Michael Edwards match, Nicky Mills has a lot on his mind and must concentrate on both matches. Can he win both different calibur matches?
