April Attack III
Part III: The Dark Path
The scene opens in New York City, where we last saw Don Lunacchio almost 'plead' with Robert Burke, the drug baron of New York, to give him permission to kill both Jonny Fly and Nicky Mills for their parts in killing the entire Mafia family of the Lunacchio's. Opening in a local Italian restaurant known as the Stark's Veranda Restaurant on Broadway which is almost completely empty except for one table which has four figures surrounding it.
We have all seem them before and that they attended the Mafia meeting that Nicky Mills set up. They are all Mafia bosses from various crime families. One of them, a rather plump but young man is smoking a cigarette while drinking a glass of red wine from a large glass. He is known as Jason Harlem, a local drug dealer who controls his own gang in New York. The other is a rather well built woman with red hair and is known as Julia Lindiana, the daughter of the Mafia boss Don Lindiana. The two other men are twin brothers and share the same facial features except for the different colour of their hair. One of them, Brian Duno, is a gray haired man while the other, Johnny Duno, has long blonde hair, which hang down to his shoulders. The people are in deep conversation about local business.
Julia Lindiana: Robert Burke is drying up our operations. But he's too powerful for any of us to deal with. The Italian era is dead, and my father knows that. This drugs stuff we have to keep away from. Burke just had our dealer whacked last week for suggesting he let the other families have a piece of the action. I can't deal with that stuff anymore.
Brian Duno: We could easily take him down. What the fuck is wrong with you guys?
Jason Harlem: Can the bullshit. Burke has the upper hand on us.
Johnny Duno: Whaddya mean? He's a fuckin moron. We could so easily kill the bastard.
That's your solution for everything. Kill. Look, we can't compete with him. And he isn't going to let us take any piece of any action. He wants by himself, so let him be by himself.
Look, you people are forgetting something. We have other problems. Such as Nicky Mills.
You mean that wrestling Hollywood guy?
He's a psychopath, that's what he is.
The Golatti's are dead and Las Vegas has been taken over. And this is for trying to kill him.
Well, he did us a favour. The Golatti's were terrible and Robert Colitri was on breaking point anyway. We would have taken him over in the end. So is this Mills guy such a threat?
Nah. He's one of us. And he does good business.
That's not the point, Johnny. If we oppose him, will WE end up dead? Look at what happened to the Lunacchio's. They wanted to have him killed because they killed his brother, and him and some dealer for Burke ended up taking them all out.
Jonny Fly? He was huge here. He was in the wrestling business, but look at what happened to him. Now some petty dealer.
Ain't that shit all fake?
That's not the point. He took every bit of money from 'The Venetian' casino that the Golatti's owned, then blew it up. And the media have covered it up, saying that it was minor. I guess Nicky had someone on the inside to clean that up.
But we don't need to kill him. Look, we could easily take him down. But what's the point?
The Duno brother Brian Duno stares over at Julie Lindiana, who doesn't acknowledge it and merely lights up a cigarette instead.
Okay, so we just ignore him? Fuck that. I don't want him ruining any of my businesses.
Robert Burke and Nicky Mills want to be left alone. If we don't touch them, then nothing matters.
But they should give us a cut of the action.
Well, it certainly looks like they're not touching us.
Just send a few of our guys over to talk to him. Tell him to think what's right.
Are you insane? He'd kill us all for that. Probably blow up New York just to prove a point. He's that psychotic. Do we want to end up like the Lunacchio's did?
He isn't a threat. Look, he's just entering business for himself. So what's the poi...
Everyone's mouths literally drop in shock when a figure appears from the shadows of the darkened restaurant. The Duno brothers make a move to pull our their firearms but Julia Lindiana makes a hand gesture to not do so. Jason Harlem merely puffs his cigerette as the figure comes into the light, and is seen as Don Lunacchio. A gasp is heard from Julia and disgusted looks from the Duno brothers and Harlem as they look at the disfigured right side of the face of Vincent Lunacchio. The old man grins when he approaches them and begins laughing.
Don Lunacchio: Well, I suppose your all wondering why I'm alive. I'll spare you the details, but I want one thing, and I don't even have to say it.
Julia Lindiana is the first to speak up from the shocked gangsters at the table.
You...
Are supposed to be dead? Yes, I'm very much aware of that. But I'm not.
Brian Duno speaks up and smiles after he says this.
It's Nicky Mills, right? I bet you've been listening to our conversation.
Robert Burke doesn't understand how important this is to me. I'm going to kill those two bastards whether it takes the rest of my life, along with that Fly prick.
I don't think so. Both of them are untouchable.
And now that you're back, we're supposed to take answers from you?
It would be for everyone's benefit if you helped me extract my revenge.
Your family was completely wiped out. So I don't think you can give any orders now.
Oh, I think you'll be doing what I say. Take a look behind me.
From behind Don Lunacchio come around twenty men all armed with machine guns and wearing black sunglasses with black suits. Don smiles as their horrified faces realize that they could all be killed at that very instant.
Motherfucker...
These men are my loyal followers, men who will only listen to men and will kill anything and anyone. There's also more where that came from, so listen. I want you and your superiors and yourselves to meet me when I say so. It could be today, tomorrow, next week, or next month, but I will call.
The time will be right when I kill Nicky Mills, and if you don't show up, the consequences are very bad for you. So please... take some time to think about these men and myself before you go trying to kill me, hm? Goodbye.
The men then turn and walk to the exit of the restaurant, and since nobody is in the facility, nobody was able to witness this except the people at the table. They walk out in a group and on the outside, walk into the shadows, where they have completely disappeared. The scene then slowly fades into darkness.
Opening into an almost pitch dark room in Houston, Texas, filled with nothing but in the middle of the room is a lone red worn down punching bag hanging from the ceiling. A figure is seen punching away at it with hate and determination. One light is the only thing that makes the figure see the bag, and as we look into the bright yellow light, the reflection shows us the identity of the figure.
Wearing nothing but a pair of shorts and some tape on his fist, TNT World Heavyweight champion Nicky Mills is punching and kicking away at the punching bag. Shortly, a pair of footsteps are heard and Mills stops his training as the person comes into the light and almost towers over Mills. The new figure is TNT interviewer Christian Williams, who is wearing a William Brothers tee shirt with no sleeves and a pair of black jeans.
Christian Williams: Hey champ. What are you doing here?
Mills turns to the interviewer and grins.
Nicky Mills: I'm training. So what are YOU doing here?
I interview people. It's my job.
'The Outlaw' laughs and makes a sign to move away as the two men walk away from the darkness. The camera follows them into the other room, which looks to be a changing room. It is completely empty and looks to have not been used in years. Nicky unwraps the tape from his fists and looks inside a bag where he pulls out the TNT World championship and holds it in front of him.
So, what do you want to know?
First of all, what the hell is the TNT World champion doing in this dump? Do you know how long it took me to find you? I had to drive through red lights, ask directions from weird Texans who talk gibberish, and talk to Cole Matthews. I have Matthews as a colleague.
Aww, too bad. He's not so bad. I'm here because nobody can distract me here. It's in the middle of nowhere and I can train without interruptions. Especially from interviewers.
Am I an exception?
Well, yeah. Your a Williams brother. Of coarse your okay in my book.
Christian laughs and smiles while Nicky takes a bottle of water and begins drinking it before then closing the cap on the bottle. The camera looks on as the Williams brother and TNT interviewer speaks.
Did you catch Eric Baxter's promo?
I just happened to.
So, what did you think?
Well, I'm not going to do what he wants me to do and that's give a long monologue on him. No, it's short and simple for that preacher.
Okay, so you want to give a response to that?
Um, yeah... He's an annoying ranting piece of crap. But let me elaborate. He keeps judging me from the past. I'm not this cocky trash talking asshole anymore who hated America. I'm past all of that. TNT Wrestling will always be my home, and I will be here forever. He thinks I'm hurt by his bullshit opinions about Mark Drivlaine supposedly giving me wins in my career. What a load of shit. He wants to get personal, so okay, let's get personal.
He never gave me a chance in UWA or TNT. He's never liked me and that's probably because of jealousy. I've been more successful and been much better than him. He can hold as many World title as he wants, but just like Jimmy Vetalo, they won't mean shit. HE thinks I spat on Minds Eye and his legacy. What the hell is he talking about? Minds Eye is a tough bastard. He kidnapped me as a last resort to making me understand him and he failed.
I went through absolute hell and Eric comes up with THAT? The man has no idea, does he? I beat him after everything was said, and in his game, the Triple Cage match. That was the old Nicky Mills. I hate UWA and I always will. You will never see me take a step back there, not in a million years. And that's a promise. And yet he tries to spread more lies about my past. Yawn. Boring. I've changed into a better person, but I never had any backstage pull. Never. The High Rollers did, Maniac did, and a lot of others did, but I didn't. I was true to being a 'wrestler'.
Eric Baxter on the other hand, hasn't changed a bit from what I've seen. He rants and raves about me being this and that, but it's all crap. I don't like responding to it because that will give him more to talk shit about. So I'll just say this. Baxter, you may as well shut the fuck up and just wrestle me on Sunday. Put up or shut up, Eric. It's a very true saying. I've listened enough to your trashtalk, so except me to lock in a Legends Pain which will make you scream for your life and make you wish you had never come back. I will retain my title...and that's a damn promise to my fans and the entire world.
What about my wayward brother in law with his new attitude and his new posse? Will that stop you at all when he is the special referee?
One Winged Angel... Nah. I know that he might try something, but there is no way I'm going to follow 'his' rules. He can bring his bitch and that big bastard to the ring, but they won't get far. Nicky Mills will be on his own, and he will do what he does best, and that's wrestle and win. Nothing can stop me from retaining my World title by beating Eric. Not Baxter, and not the One Winged Angel. I've lost all respect for him, and for him to go and get this stipulation shows what a cry-baby he is.
Boo hoo, shut the fuck up. I was always better than Jeremy Cundiff. This new attitude proves that he needs to keep changing because he's insecure about himself. It wont hide the fact that he can't beat me now. I'm TNT's World champion, better than the talentless Vetalo, and he's just a puny little insect, trying to claw his way back up to the top by any means necessary. How he got that stipulation is beyond me, but I don't care. He can get a stipulation GIVING him the title shot, and it will just prove my point about him. I will step into the ring with him and out wrestle him and humiliate him. But my mind is on Baxter, my opponent who just keeps talking. Eric, since you liked things that I did, I'll try and think of anything that I like about you, except for your talent.
Nicky stops talking and thinks to himself. After around a minute of silence, Christian finally interrupts him.
Did you think about anything good yet?
Nope. He's always been a guy who thinks he's a great in TNT. I'll say right here and right now HE is not part of this 'circle'. Nor am I. I'm still rising in my career. But in his entire career, I can't think of anything that he's done that's made me think "Wow, he's something else." No, I always think of Eric as another guy with a mouth. I've proved my talent but he just talks his way through everything. Okay, he's backed up his talk about winning the tournament, but he's going to fall short this Sunday at April Attack III. Even with a man who so wants me to lose this Sunday as the referee wont be able to stop the fact that Eric Baxter is simply outmatched. As a wrestler, as a person, and definatly as an athlete. Baxter's going down and out.
I have to get back to training, Christian.
Okay, champ. See you later.
The TNT World Heavyweight champion shakes the interviewers hand and leaves the room as the camera looks on the TNT World belt, which has the name of 'Nicky Mills' engraved into the name block part. The scene then fades to darkness. With words being exchanged by the two hating opponents, Mills and Baxter, who will walk out the TNT World Heavyweight champion? And will the One Winged Angel play any part in the outcome, or will he be fair? You'll just have to see and tune into the TNT Pay Per View, April Attack III, where a World champion will be decided. The only question is, who?
