Marys Gabriel Rangers from the Ballydehod area of West Cork, covered themselves in glory when they were much too strong for a very young Dublin side. The Dublin girls opened in whirlwind fashion and had 2 points on the board in he first 4 minutes

But then Gabriel Rangers dominated, and in truth this game was over at half-time as Rangers led by seven points

Gabriels who had lost 4 County finals in 5 years finally emerged this year as County champions. One thing is certain the standard at this level in Cork is extremely high at the moment and now Gabriel Rangers are the proud holders of the All-Ireland title

Their defence was tuned in at all times, with the Shamrocks Mary Kelleher particularly outstanding.

Eoin wins All-Ireland Championship

Shamrocks' Eoin Mulligan wins All-Ireland Championship 30 Sep 2003 - Former Shamrocks player Eoin Mulligan just three seasons after winning the Queensland championship with Shamrocks has won the All-Ireland senior championship with Tyrone

Eoin burst onto the Queensland GAA scene with a record 3-goals on debut for Shamrocks in 2000, providing the momentum that led to Shamrocks claiming the Queensland Championship.

Before that he was part of a successful Tyrone minor (under-18) team which won the All-Ireland title in 1998.

Eoin returned home from Australia, and almost immediately burst onto the senior County scene with a goal 30-seconds into his Championship debut for Tyrone against Armagh.

And now Eoin can add Tyrones first-ever senior All-Ireland Championship to his long list of achievements.

In the final, five first half pointed frees from legendary Tyrone captain Peter Canavan helped Tyrone to their first All-Ireland title with a closely fought 0-12 to 0-09 victory over reigning champions Armagh at Croke Park in Dublin.

Eoin was in the thick of the action early, as Armagh's Francie Bellew was shown the first yellow card of the game for a foul on Eoin.

Mulligan took over the free taking responsibilities from Canavan in the second half, scoring a couple including one particularly impressive long range free.

Shamrocks Eoin in All-Ireland Final

Shamrocks' Eoin Mulligan in the All-Ireland Football Semi-Final between Tyrone & Kerry in Croke Park. 17 September 2003 - Champion Shamrocks player Eoin Mulligan is starring for County Tyrone as it has qualified for this months All-Ireland Senior Football Championship final in Dublin.

Mulligan starred for Tyrone as they disposed of last years All-Ireland runners-up Kerry in the semi final last month.

And now Tyrone take on the defending All-Ireland champions Armagh in the Bank of Ireland SFC final at Croke Park on 28th September.

Mulligan won the All-Ireland Under 21 Championship in 2000, before joining Shamrocks to win the 2000 Queensland Senior Championship.

He returned to Ireland and graduated to the Tyrone senior team, and has been a star on the rise ever since.

Playing for Shamrocks, Mulligan set club records for highest score in a game, most points in a game, and most goals in a game.

His debut was stunning with 2 goals 5 points. His second match was even better with 3-6.

Together with his brother Stephen Mulligan, Eoin was a sensation as Shamrocks claimed the 2000 Championship.
