Chapter 2: Forest of Allusion~

As Kiyen walked down the path towards the woods where he had only traveled down once. He began to think about why he was chosen. "Why did it have to be? Why did my father choose me to do this task? And what is this spirit energy?" All these thoughts puzzled Kiyen as he walked down the path. He only knew that he had to do this. He had always felt different and this may be why. He was finally going to do what he had always wanted to do, find out more about his family and why they chose to be a peaceful tribe. Kiyen was confused and yet excited about what was lying ahead. He had thought of this so much that it had already turned to midday as he finally reached the forest. Memories of him and his family rushed into his mind as they rain in this forest and also died here. He cautiously entered the woods on full alert. As he walked threw the woods, he felt the ever presence as if being watched. Suddenly, the day turned to night as Kiyen walked threw the woods. And as it turned pitch black a sudden laugh was heard echoing threw the woods. "Who's there! Show yourself!" Kiyen yelled as he drew his sword and got in a ready stance. The laugh continued to laugh as a sudden figure rushed at him and got a cut on his cheek barely missing his neck* "Ah!" Kiyen flew back and swung at the figure but it vanished into dust. "Darn it where is he *a sudden memory of his father reminded him of what he needed to do. "Now, to find your fathers sword you must return to the town you where born. Once there you will find in an ancient shrine a secret passage. To do this you will have to use your knowledge and spirit senses" "MySpirit sense?" Kiyen looked confused as he asked. "Your sprite sense's will be shown to you on your journey to you birth place." "My spirit energy. But what is it" as he thought this suddenly the figure came back and slashed at him as a sudden flash back of when he was a child was brought back to him. His father and him where at a shrine as he was showing him something "Kiyen. This power I'm about to show you is a treasured and sacred technique which we call Spirit energy. To use it you must concentrate all you senses and focus at the task at hand. Only then will you be able to unlock the power of your spirit energy" as Kiyen flashed back to reality he quickly dodged the attack and attacked to see him disappear again. "I have to focus" Kiyen stood up straight as he closed his eyes and got in a defensive stance. "What have you given up already?" the voice out of no where boasted. "This was to easy! Now to finish you off!" the figure yelled as he charged at Kiyen again but this time Kiyen quickly appeared behind him and swung his sword at him slicing him in half. "What?!?How did youah" the figure said as he fell to the ground now cut in half. "This. is sprit energy?.." Kiyen looked at his hands and the new power he had gained. "This must be what my father was talking about" He shook his head and continued through the night into the woods. As he continued through the woods, he suddenly began to get more tired than usual. "Why am I so tired?" A sudden voice in his head was heard but didn't startle Kiyen for some reason. It was actually a soothing voice. "Sleep. You have traveled far you need to rest.." the voice echoed threw his head as he began to listen to it as his eyes began to squint. Suddenly a bed appeared in front of him in a small field. "You don't have to fall asleep just a little rest until you continue your journey" Kiyen felt overwhelmed as his body almost began to feel as thought it was moving on his own. He now wanted to do as the voice said. He slowly approached the bed and pulled away the covers. "Yes just a napjust lay down for a little bit." The voice said as he lay on the bed. The bed seemed to be griping him and holding him in. He pulled over the covers as his eyes began to slowly close "Maybe a good nights rest won't hurt." Kiyen said as his eyes almost closed "Yes a good nights rest is exactly what you need" the voice said as Kiyen closed his eyes and he began to drift into a deep sleep.
