The name's MAtthew. Born in central Queensland -and no matter where i travel i always call Banana home ( yes i said Banana, and i'm not pulling your leg)- and raised here as a country boy, even though we lived in town due to my father's work. Been brought up with my head in a book (ask me mates, they'll tell ya i was bit of a geek ). And am grateful for that too. But nowdays i'm just your average ringer, farm hand, labourer - whatever you want to call it. Tend to think, though, that i should be looking more towards a desk job, the old body has a few aches and pains somedays :) .
After leaving high school i tried me hand at uni for a while, but found a lack of motivation was not getting me anywhere. So i hopped back on home for a local traineeship, and after finishing i started out with a local grazier. After a year there i headed overseas on a rural exchange proramme, where i spent 8 months in Canada and seven months in England. Absolutely brilliant time, and to those thinking of heading overseas- GO!. After 8 months at home working in a quarry driving oversized tonka toys (there's a child in all of us, though for some it's a lot closer to the surface), i then spent four weeks on Fraser island completing a tour guiding course - that was where i picked up the coveted Kingfisher Bay Stripping Cowboy Award-, which then catapulted me into a 17 month stint at the infamous "Namoi Hills" Cattle Station, where i was a tour guide and social events organiser.
And now i find myself wandering around the globe once again, with a year working holiday visa in the Republic of Ireland. Catch up with me latest photos on the following pages. |

Yes, i must admit, that like most of us i enjoy a drink, and occasionally i go a bit overboard. BUT in defense of myself, i am a happy drunk, and never hurt anyone but myself, and well typically tend to find a nice warm swag to crawl into :)
Truthfully though, most escapades, and the following rumours that circulate, only occur at the start of the night, or more often the morning after the big night. For me, severe lack of sleep and slight lingering intoxication is a sure recipe for infamous incidents, just as sure as a dingo shits in the bush. |

This first pic is of me, as you may have guessed,� and is likely to scare of all but the most seasoned party goers.� But alas, this was not me in my most fine form, it was simply a family gathering.� Fortunately� for me, and the rest of the world, there is never a camera on hand when I� in top condition....eg the time i ran nude around a campdraft ring, well, nude excluding my hat, boots and a curly blue wig.� :) |

Me?... well I am just your average Aussie cowboy,� I like the staple things in life; the three R's, ie rum (Bundaberg of course), rodeo, and rugby.� Asides from that I enjoy this 'sunburnt country, a land of sweeping plains' (many thanks to Dorothy McKellar); poetry and language; a decent fantasy novel; campfires and 'the wonderous glory of the everlasting stars', especially if I have someone to enjoy it with:) ;� well ... lots of things, i could be here all day if I was to tell you them in entirety, but to finish off, i have have to say that a decent ute to drive off into the sunset with seems to be the thing i require most.

Whoa there! I can't decide whether you lot are lucky to seee this one or not. She's a real triple bunger, got the blue wig, me pink shirt, and the pink g-string we stole off some sheila at Beaudesert B&S. Those three pieces of costume have a place in the historyof this town, as rightly as the old bullock himself (Banana's namesake). |
