These birds are soooo smart and mine is no exception. A few days ago, I got lazy playing fetch (me doing the fetching and him doing the noise) so, I placed a chain through two holes that he had made in a blue plastic "Propel" bottle. I tied it snugly with a leather string and sat back to watch the action.

He took the bottle and started running it across the top of the cage in hopes to dislodge the chain from the bottom.  I mean that he had his umbrella up and swinging his head from side to side and dragging the bottle and chain in the movement. When that didn't work, he let the bottle go over the side, then parked himself and began working the end of the bottle. About 15 minutes went by until I heard the chain drop and the bottle go flying.

Just as I looked over at him, he flew to my feet and as I picked him up...he started laughing at me. He was sooo proud of himself that he had figured it out and released the bottle. As he sat on the arm of the chair, he continued to laugh  as I praised him for a job well done.
