Picture me looking at a documentary called "Farenheit 911" mouth hanging open
and wondering....and they elected him to another term? Click here to go to the website for the movie. I was stunned to see our "Leader" just sit there and not do something after he was told that the nation was under attack. The idea that out of 535 members of congess (the very people sending our people to war), only 1 of them has a person serving in Iraq
Did you catch the fact that the hijackers/murderers were Saudis and not Iraqis? Did you catch the fact that the only families flying when "all planes wer grounded" were the Saudis fleeing the US? I for one feel betrayed by my leaders. I am a Vet and this is not the America I fought for. Personally, I feel we should set a departure date in Iraq and then withdraw all forces and aide on that date. We overstay our welcome and we need to stop this practice. Other countries have the right to their own government, their own way of praying and we need to stop being worldwide bullies. Not another Viet Nam. The movie "V for Vendetta" kept saying that the people shouldn't be afraid of the government, but the government should be afraid of its people. How can we, in all good consciousness teach other people when we have so many issues here at home to deal with?
I know that the military can be anywhere in the world in a matter of hours. But, it couldn't get to our own citizens after a catastrophic huricane? Plaaaalezzzze.
The issue of immagration. Come to the United States the right way. Fly our flag, not the Mexican flag. When you become a legal citizen, then you can enjoy our rights. Not before. I can't think of another country that will allow people to come into their borders and demand rights not obtained through legal citizenship.
I lived through the '60's where black men and women had no rights. Sit to the back of the bus, drink only from "negro fountains" use only the black toilets...segragation. And these people are our own citizens. It was a terrible time of riots, hangings, burnings, and asassinations.
I grew up in San Francisco and I was a flower child. I believed in peace and helping eachother no matter race or religion. Today, there are different names to the goings on, but they are still scary. With all the unrest and lies being staged, there is always an equal and opposite reaction to balance out the caos.
Pray for our nations leaders to see the light and to stop this destruction and come home. Pray for the peacekeepers and the Green Roots movements for our world to grow into peace and evolve. I pray for this every day.
