The Bracelet
This morning began like any other work morning...at least that is what I thought, as I climbed aboard the bus for work. On a whim, I sat in the front and listened to music. As the bus moved along, picking up the normal riders, I took notice of a group of ladies that usually talked with each other for the duration of the bus ride into town. They were seated where I could see just one end of the seat.

We arrived downtown at the mall stop, and both ladies got up to leave the bus; but, my attention was drawn to something shiny as it bounced on the seat where they had just left. Before I could make myself say something, they had disembarked. I sat there for a moment trying to grasp what had happened and tried to see what it was that was laying on the seat. I finally made myself reach over and pick up the object.

In my hand was the most beautiful bracelet unlike anything that  I had ever seen or felt. It was made of gold with two raised dragon heads looking over a golden ball and into the others ruby eyes. The bracelet was finely detailed around the wrist and ending in an "S" type clasp. I knew that this bracelet was very valuable in sentiment as well as worth. I had no idea which of the two ladies sitting on the seat had dropped it.

I thought about how I would go about finding out which of  the ladies had dropped it. I thought about how i had felt when something had remained lost. I cleaned the bracelet and made sure that it was in the pocket of my pants that I had planned to wear the next day.

The next morning, I looked forward to the adventure I was about to live through. It was raining (I love the rain) and I took my time walking to the bus stop. I wanted to really be in the moment and the experience by trying to take the morning in.

I  seated myself behind the driver and waited for the adventure to begin..  The first ladies' stop was just two stops away from mine and I saw her through the window. Everything then went into slow motion. The lady boarded the bus, and as she folded her umbrella, she asked the driver if he had found a bracelet the day before. I contained my exceitment, and waited for the bus driver to answer her. I knew he would say that he hadn't.  When the answer came, I watched her face drop and say "Of course you didn't." as she began to walk past me to take her seat in her usual spot.
When she was right in front of me I said, "He didn't, but I did." Her face lit up with surprise and said "You did?!"  I pulled her bracelet from my pocket and handed it to her. She thanked me a few times as she moved to her seat, which was only two feet away from where I was. I could feel her joy and relief and I was overcome by the feelings that I felt within myself and from her.

I  told her that there are still good people in the world. And she told me that the bracelet was made by a jewler friend of hers when she had surgery and that it meant a lot to her. I suggested that she have a safety clasp put on. She placed it into her purse and said that she wasn't going to wear it until the clasp was changed.

Another lady sitting opposite her asked me if I had an angel on my hat. I had forgotten that I had placed Archangel Micheal on my hat a day or two ago. I told her who it was, and she said that I was an angel too. She said that not everyone would return the bracelet.

Before the lady left the bus, she thanked me again.

The next morning when she came aboard the bus, she handed me a plastic bag. In the bag was a bagonia plant and a card. The card read
:

Thank you thank you. I feel like I have been touched by an angel.
