A Prayer for the Universe

Before the sun sets beneath the treetops
And the moon kisses the sky
Before the gentle rains of sleep find you this night.

If your day was cold
I wish you a moment of warmth to call your own
If your time is lonely
I send you the loving smile of a stranger
If hunger finds your body
I wish you an unexpected morsel from a kind hand
If pain consumes your soul
I wish you a moment of peace, clarity or forgiveness

And for each of you
To every being that lives upon the Blessed Earth
I wish you my love,
Sent without expectation or judgment
Freely and completely yours
For this day.
For each day.
