Rurouni Kenshin

<BGSOUND SRC="kenshin.mid" LOOP="INFINITE"> Rurouni Kenshin (or Samurai X as aired in most countries outside Japan) tells the story of a wanderer named Kenshin, who used to be caled Hitokiri Battousai (Man-slayer) during the Japanese civil war, and is now trying to make up for his past and all his murders by helping those in trouble with his reverse-blade sword and by using his powerful techinque called Hiten-Mitsurugi Ryu to battle oppresors of freedom and justice, yet struggling with himself and his own murdering self. During the series he joins others in his his quest: Kaoru Kamiya, a young orphan girl who became tutor of the Kamiya-Kashin Ryu Kendo style; Sanosuke Sagara, a mercenary who used to bear the name Zanza and fights just with his incredibly powerful fists; Yahiko Myojin, a young boy who was rescued by Kenshin from a band of thieves and now a pupil on Kaoru's dojo; and Megumi Takane, a female doctor who was rescued by Kenshin from a band which forced her to make a lethal drug. Together they all fight those who opress the weak while they seek their destiny as well happiness and redemption.

Review: This is an incredible anime series. Not only is it about 150 episodes long but it has a great plot to. The fight scenes are amazing and some of the people and groups in it were actually real. This anime is currently airing on Saturdays at 11:00 p.m on Cartoon Network. They have just recently finished the Shishio saga(the best of all of the sagas in the show) and Shonen Jump is about to release the Graphic Novels.
