I was so glad to see this website in the paper. I have been out of touch with many of my classmates. I am now living in Orange County and early retired from Gulf States Utilities. In my retirement, I am involved with the Republican Party of Orange Count and play golf three days a week. But Friday is my favorite day. That's the day I spend with my 4 year old granddaughter taking her on visits to local relatives and friends for the day. Thank you for stirring up old memories.

40th reunion was great, I probably would not have gone if not for Reggie Richardson. Two big shock's (1)Alan Tipton whom the ageing process has skipted. (2)Doris Westmoreland Huff who was my personal Physician's nurse for probably 15 year's, neither of us knew we went to SPHS together until we meet at the reunion. For those of you who missed the 1959 40th reunion, try to make the next one; this was, in my opinion, the best one yet! To Bruce Stratton and his "crew" a big thanks for all the hard work. I know that no event is as successful without lots of hard work n preparation. One thing I always enjoy at our reunion is watching Ouida & Wesley Broussard jitterbugging! They are so great and seem to capture the feeling of our whole high school tenure in their one exhibition. Can't say enough about how great it wa to see everyone; only wish I'd been able to get there earlier to visit with those I missed. Want to hear from all of you! Let's not let 40 more years go by....so many haven't made it! Barbara

David, the pictures from the 60th BIRTHDAY was wonderful - - - Are they taken with a digital camera??? - - - THEY COME UP GREAT!!! I placed several calls to Ouida Powel Broussard in hopes of helping plan this reunion (40th) but never got an answer and didn't know who else to call....so, looks like Raymond (SPHS class of 57) and I get to come and enjoy, without doing any of the work! Great looking web site. Good to hear about you young whipper-snappers. Us ol' folks had a reunion on 4/16-4/18. It was great. Had over 130 folks there, several from classes other than ours, 1954. The class of '56, headed by "Inky" Engstrom won the gol tournament. I'd like to get e-mail from youse guys (Especially from the pretty girls). Just kiddin' about that last part. Speaking of pictures on the net,I'm sure many of you know this but, if you see a picture on the net you would like to set-up as your wallpaper or to save on your hard drive all you have to do is (1) right click on it (2) click on save picture as and set w ere you want to store it or(3) set as wallpaper.

Greenies, Nina and I could sure use your help. We need current and old pictures (ouch, maybe I shouldn't use the word old)and information about you. Scan and e-mail pictures if you can or mail them. Another way to get pictures on your computer is to have disc made of your pictures where you have them developed, works great and normally only cost about $5 a roll, our kids send us pictures of the grandkids this way. Since Nina & I were unable to attend the 1958 Class Reunion, we could sure use some pictures to post on the site. We certainly want to thank those that have visited the site. Nina & S.J.
