Hail, like fierce shellfire
pelting down on my roof
Wind, like helicopter breezes
is whipping up the trees

While a man runs to shelter
in the middle of walking his dog
While the train hums on the tracks
Booming now through my yard

While my tin roof gets dented
and the trees twist and turn
I hear the cries of the innocents
soldiers, children alike blown away

While the world looks on in shock
I sit here as helpless as you
I fear, the hearts of all who love them
are in their own turbulent storm today
