Thorns, Velvet

Round and around
the daybreak lilies, pink tinging
let us sift ivory and trample bones
along the shores of planets
drinking blood, toxic
stellar, o captivated me
roped to spat upon crosses
haunted by the pleasance of death
and the tunnels of ever fear
dream I, and them I so offer
as hate possessive to night tornado
bidding flee to hidden and warm valleys
sweep in all the reds, all the selfs
~~in a plain plain field
time lay only for a night
lighting up altars
licking salt lakes
beyond a hill,
ashes ashes, smearing
flying up from the embers
always burning, as love does, never forgetting
and yes love, Im pulling up
the adorned coverlet you placed
upon me, singing of death and death
winds and weaving
laying with thorns and velvet bruises
here, let me lay .......
