Big Ship Winds

W
hen the winds enter this gate
the dandelions spin and spin, twist, fall apart
and the dapples dance sweetly upon the earth
it is then that I wave goodbye to bouquets of dreams
watch them drift away on big ship winds
life lines of countless horizons forbid my sky to expand
and the roots of trees lead tourniquets to veins
where choking becomes as natural as breath
and salvation lay awake in an unmade bed
i wonder about the intimate sands of our youth
now it spins and spins, in and out of time rocked tides ......
