Among Seedlings

The calm that we all seek
hid silently away
in unopened bluebells,
where the free grasses are
trampled down as paths
to the midst of sunlit fields
and we sit among seedlings and dine
on colour wheel conversations,
breezed and eased
into fields that dance
for the poppies that sing
from the blacks in their throat
and while the dandelions spread wide
their celebration skirts,
the big eyed horses are grazing
after a frolic down the horizon trail.
