


Objective : The Objective of this programme is to meet the manpower requirement of the fast developing software industry and the requirement of the institutions of higher learning for capable teachers.
Lateral entry to MCA III Semester is allowed to the candidates who have already successfully completed :
1). PGDCA or ADIT or its equivalent programme from recongnised University and deemed Universities.
2). 'A' Level examination of DOE, after graduation.
Those desirous of taking admission in MCA III Semester - lateral entry, have to clear all the ppapers of MCA 1 & II Semesters (of IGNOU) through examinations to be conducted in June and December every year.
Those who have not studied Mathematics at the 10+2 level will be required successfully complete the Preparatory Programme in Computing (PPC) concurrently with the 1st/2nd semester and such candidates are also required to pay an additional fees of Rs. 500/- along with the admission form. The details of PPC are as follows:
The Preparatory Programme in Computing is divided into five blocks, namely :-(i) Some Basic concepts , (ii). Elementary Algebra, (iii) Geometry and Trigonometry , (iv). Equations and Matrices and (v) Calculus and Statistics.
The Student will indicate this when submitting the acceptance of the offer of admission and there will be separate item for this purpose in the acceptance form.
