THE BEGINNING
In the 1960's Brian Wood and I went to Saratoga High School together (Saratoga, California).  I first noticed Brian when he, the Freshman Class President, gave a farewell speech to the graduating senior class.  I even told him what a great speech.  I was an 'older' sophomore at the time.
  Then, as a junior I wanted to be introduced to him. One evening while in the library I told a guy friend
how much I'd like to meet Brian.  He just happened
to be on the wrestling team with Brian and drove me to Brian's home that night and introduced us. 
We had our 1st date that next Friday night ...
and decided we'd be a couple.
The romance was not lengthy, but I felt I got to know, like and trust Brian, something I really did not feel with guys after a breakup.  Even though we dated just a few months, we had great fun together. I thought we'd gone our ways and never be a couple again.
So glad I was wrong!
