Last year we enjoyed a traditional  "Wood Family Thanksgiving Celebration" at the Wood's South Lake Tahoe home. A snowfall before we headed back home made Christmas feel even closer.

All contributed to a sumptuous Thanksgiving feast fit
for a King & his entire court.  There were leftovers & then some. This home was built was for Wood family get togethers, & to keep the family close, as it continully grows.  A good time was had by all.

IN JUNE 2006 THE 4 WOOD KIDS FLEW TO MEET WITH THEIR MOTHER, MRS. GLADYS WOOD-STUTZMAN, TO HELP HER CLOSE THE HOME OF HER MOTHER,  IN VALLEY CITY, NORTH DAKOTA.  MANY MEMORIES FOR GLADYS WERE FONDLY REMEMBERED.  THE VAN WAS LOADED WITH DELIGHTFUL & SENTIMENTAL FAMILY MOMENTOS, SOON TO ARRIVE IN SARATOGA.   WITH WARM THOUGHTS OF A COLD CITY, THEY ALL BID A FOND FAREWELL TO A HOME THEY'LL REMEMBER ALL THEIR LIVES.

We love going south of the border to enjoy Mexico, the cuisiene, bartering for silver, jewelery & leather goods. Riding horses on the beach is a blast.

We never seem to get enough of Mexico & have a return trip planned for February 2007. We love Rosarito Beach.

THE MOVE
We moved to a cottage in Campbell in September.  We're hidden from the street & hear no street noise. This was an orchard years ago & many of the trees remain.  We have the largest backyard & the 2 dogs love it.

AN EXTRAORDINARY DAY IN THE NORTH BAY

This past fall, Mom, Brian & I went to Sebastopol, California for the 68th anniversary party
of Mom's cousin Ann & husband Harry, Mom's cousin Ruth flew from Florida.  Lin (my 2nd cousin) & King Strong hosted the party.  I met delightful Lin for the first time.  The party was wonderful.  A virtual toast to Harry & Ann. How lovely to be surrounded & live with such an enchanting family!

Lin & King have a private vineyard.  That day was also the day to bottle, cork & label
their 'Redwood Shire' wine.  Brian & I joined in the wine festivities. We
learned how to play Bocce Ball & had a delicious dinner outside in the woods.  Lin
& King also have two sons who are in the movies.  Shiloh Strong & Rider Strong. (Click on their names
& see their web sites).  It was an extrodinary & memorable day & experience. 
We hope to see them again soon.

(NANCY):  My Mother Helen Mary Booth Girdner, My Brother James Booth Girdner, Uncle Norm Booth, (& A Special Remembrance To Aunt Joyce Booth who passed away Christmas Eve December 24, 2005 - we miss her very much).  Uncle Don & Aunt Alice Booth, Uncle Bill Girdner, & Aunt Carol Girdner.  (It has been 4 years since we lost Uncle Wayne ("Walt") Girdner. Not a day goes by when I don't of think of him. Also family our family friend for years, Maria Aguilar.
