Take a 1 pint mason jar (Old small mayo jar, or even plastic pop bottles work well) with no writing or decoration.

Fill it about half full with Finch bird seed, then place the following items in it:

1 Bead; 1 Button; 1 Bean; 1 Hairpin; 1 Paper Clip; 1 Macaroni; 1 Marble; 1 Nail; 1 Needle; 1 Penny; 1 Rubber Band; 1 Safety Pin; 1 Screw; 1 Thumbtack; and 1 Toothpick.

Finish filling the jar with the Finch bird seed. Do not over fill the jar, the seed needs room to move. Type the following for a label: "See if you can find:" 1 Bead;1 Button; 1 Bean 1 Hairpin; 1 Paper Clip; 1 Macaroni; 1 Marble; 1 Nail; 1 Needle; 1 Penny; 1 Rubber Band; 1 Safety Pin; 1 Screw; 1 Thumbtack; and 1 Toothpick

Center each line of the label and it will fit the top of the jar nicely. Place the ring of the mason jar around the letters and trace the inner circle of the ring. Make sure all you can see all the letters. This will create a label that will fit perfectly on the lid of the jar. Cut out your label and glue it on the lid and place it on top of your jar then screw on the ring. I glued ribbon on the outer edge of the ring. The object is to see if you can find the items in the jar buy turning the jar in all directions and not open it. You can place any items you want in the jar:)
