Feed The Birds Ornaments

Step 1: Wash and iron your muslin.

Step 2. Iron muslin to glossy side of freezer paper.

Step 3: Cut the paper and muslin to 8.5''x11".

Step 4: Using Print Artist and the Feed the Birds CD (or any graphics and program of your choice) set your page to landscape and arrange graphics on the top portion of the page. The bottom half will be the back of the ornament. I can get 3 graphics using the paper horizontally in Print Artist.

Step 5: Print out your graphics.

Step 6: Cut out the picture, making sure to leave a 1/2 inch border all the way around the top and sides of graphic, the unprinted portion at the bottom of the muslin will fold up. Remove the freezer paper by gently pulling the paper off the back of the muslin, discard paper.

Step 7: Turn the muslin graphic side face down and sew top and sides. Leave a small opening at the bottom for stuffing.

Step 8: Stuff with batting.

Step 9: Hand sew a blind stitch at bottom.

Step 10: Insert wire through the material to hang.

Step 11: Spray seal with clear spray paint.

NOTE: If you are using another material for the back you can print on the whole sheet leaving 1/2" border around each image.
