You will need

modeling paste
craft paints
small plastic beads
fishing line
feathers
two 3 x 3cm mirrors
paintbrush
toothpicks
double-sided tape
silicone

To make

To make the round beads roll a small amount of paste into a 1 cm ball.
Push a toothpick through the centre and wiggle it a little until the hole is large enough for the fishing line to pass through with ease.
Set aside and allow to dry overnight.
Paint the beads in colours of your choice and decorate with dots and stripes.

For the heart beads,
mould a small amount of paste into the shape of a heart and push a toothpick through the centre.
Allow to dry.
Decorate as for the round beads.

To make the light catcher, cut a length of fishing line and knot one end into a loop for hanging.
Thread small plastic beads onto the line, interspersing the handmade beads among them.
Attach a mirror about halfway down the line.
Stick a piece of double-sided tape onto the back of the mirror from point to point, and trim the overlapping edges.
Place the line over the tape to hold it in position.
Place a blob of silicone on the line and stick the other mirror on top.
End off with a round, handmade bead.
Thread the line around the bead twice to secure, place a small blob of silicone on the end of a feather and insert it into the bottom end of the bead to complete the light catcher.
