1 x 9inch (18cm) length of red lace - approximately 1-1.5 inches (2.5 -3.5cm) wide
1 x hair barette (preferably a plain metal one)
Red Sewing Thread
1 x Large Heart Button or Charm (any colour)
Hot Glue Gun

Instructions

1. Turn lace with wrong side facing out (if not obvious wrong side, then don't worry) and make a loop. Stitch the ends together with the thread.
2. Make a few stitches through the top of lace to secure the thread, and do a running stitch round the lace loop.
Draw the thread up tightly, so that the lace resembles a fabric yo-yo and secure the thread.
3. Glue the Heart button/charm to the middle of the lace and allow the set.
4. Glue the lace with button/charm to the middle of the barette

These can be varied for different holidays by changing lace color and using apropriate buttons.
Sometimes I glue a small bow in a coordinating |color to the lace before gluing on the button.
