With a sudden move to St. Marys, GA, I had to leave both of my mentors; Michelle and Jose. With contacts made from Frisbee, Steven Donahue and his high drive flat coat, Luther (Am/Can/Mex/Int Ch Longl'f Duet T' Me One Mo' Time) came to the rescue. Luther and I ranked in Flat Coats, finishing as #2 for 2003. Even though Luther was the perfect juniors dog, coming with flash and never ending energy, we weren't always able to get him at the right time. St Marys, GA may seem small, but there are plenty of breeders around! Tracy Smith, JRF Miniature Pinschers and Chinese Cresteds , was there to lend a helping hand with her bouncy MinPin, Jared (Ch. JRF Calling All Angels). Walking into the ring the first time I was unsure, showing a small dog. Ranking in MinPins as #1, finishing as #3, junior handling with Min Pins, was a great success!
All of this support got me to where I am. There would be no other way that I could have ended up working with top handlers or been able to walk into any competitive ring and walk out with a winning ribbon. Since I have graduated from Junior Handling there have been many accomplishments. MOST impressive being a Group 4, with a 6 month, 1 day old Great Pyrenees by the name of Kenneview's Vegas Showgirl owned and loved by Marie Tumlin, Chekrdflag Great Pyrs out of Atlanta, GA.
Once again I would like to thank all of my mentors, clients, supporters and
other juniors who were all there to help me along the way!
