A biography of a band usually explains their existence. You read when the band was formed, and usually the band was formed by two "original" members. The story of two childhood friends, bonded by being the outcasts at their High School...For Shakuan it was not that way.
For the members of Shakuan, being minorities who liked metal was enough to seek out other like-minded musicians and created a sound; half sweet revenge and half artistic passion.
The line-up that currently forms the band Shakuan, have been playing together since 1999. From the South Bronx and with influences ranging from metal to soul to funk and rock & roll, Tony Black (Anthony Espinoza), Karnage (Kyle Eaddy) Shadow (Kenneth Taylor) and C-Buttaz (Charles Butterfield) play hard rock and metal on a different time zone and climate.
