THEFT IN JAIJAGADISHS ESTATE;Madikeri October 29, 2007 Valuable trees from the estate of Kannada cine actor Jai jagdish were stolen. Forest sleuths have arrested two culprits, Rohesh and Devendra in connection with the theft and produced them before court. The culprits had stolen tree from the actors estate at Belur near Somwarpet and sold them as fire wood. The accused are sent to judicial custody. CALL TO HELP MUSLIM ORPHANS;Community leader Ibrahim has called upon the Muslims to assist Muslim orphan girls to get married. Taking part in the inaugural function of a newly constructed Masjid at Emmemadu near Napoklu, he urged the community leaders to reserve ten percent of the Urus collection for the marriage of orphans each year. He also said that the children should be taught worldly knowledge hand in hand with religious teachings. Inaugurating the Masjidh, Priest Syed K.S.AtakoyaTangal spoke on the occasion and felicitated C.U.Ibrahim andKalera Ummar for their service. Former vice president of the Zilla Panchayath, P.M.Khasim, Vice president of Wakf board, Tahir and others were present. |
