Worried about the increasing debt, a farmer committed suicide by hanging.

The incident was reported from Kirgandur near Somwarpet.

According to police, the body of A.E.Shivkumar was found hanging from a tree near his house. He hung himself to death yesterday when his wife had gone out for work in a estate.

Shivkumar was worried about debt, according to police and it lead to his death.

STUDENT JUMPS TO DEATH;

A student who could not complete his homework has jumped to death, fearing consequences.

H.V.Milan was a tenth standard student studying at Marenad school at Srimangala in South Kodagu. He could not complete the home work given in the school and feared consequences at school. He jumped into a well near his house.

CNC TO HOLD PROTEST AT DELHI;

The Codava national Council will hold a protest at New Delhi on November first.

The secretary general of CNC, N.U.Nachappa stated in a press conference that a batch of CNC members are traveling to Delhi to hold dharna.

CNC is demanding usage of Kodava language in administration, considering Konkani language as the third state language, constitutional guarantee to Kodavas.
