RURAL SOCIETIES ARE POLITICAL HOT SPOTS;

Former minister M.C.Nanaiah told here yesterday that the rural co operative sectors are political hot spots and a person’s political life begins there.

Addressing the gathering after inaugurating the new building of Pollibetta VSSN, he said that the intention to keep co operative sector away from politics could not succeed and this field turns out to be the training field for a beginner in politics. He regretted that he had abolished appointing nominated members as directors to societies during his term as a minister and it is now withdrawn.

He also opined that the agriculturists should not sell paddy fields since such field work as store house for water. He said that wells situated in dry paddy field are dead today and people should be concerned about maintaining water table.Dis interest in agriculture will have a negative impact on co operative sector, he cautioned.
