DOGS RULE THE TOWN; BOY BITTEN;Madikeri October 25, 2007 Stray dogs had a hay day yesterday and bit around eighteen people including a eight year old boy. Somwarpet is full of stray dogs and the Town Panchayath has not been heeding to the complaints by people. About eighteen people were bitten by them in different places. While even old people were chased and attacked, an eight year old boy Akash was badly bitten by dogs near town while he was playing. Akash was immediately shifted to hospital and is being treated. More than a dozen people are hospitalized and doctors are busy treating the patients queuing up for the same reason. LOKAYUKTA TRAPS SURVEYER;District unit of Lokayukta has trapped a suveyer accepting bribe yesterday at Virajpet. Surveyer Raghushetty was caught while he took one thousand rupee from one H.P.Lava of Arji village. He had demanded rupees three thousand and said that the remaining amount should be paid after he prepares a survey report. Lava had been running from pillar to post to set the records right since a year and Raghu Shetty promised to do it immediately, if he is bribed. Lokayukta inspector Raghu Shetty and team conducted the raid and registered a case. SUVARNAYUGA FROM FOURTEENTH;Mahima patel, son of former chief minister of Karnataka, J.H.Patel will form a new party Suvarnayuga and launch it on November fourteenth. The sources said that mahima Patel will launch the party from Talacauvery on the said day after performing Pooja at cauvery. |
