YEDIYURAPPA SUGGEST TO HOLD ELECTIONS DURING FEBRUARY ASSURES SOLUTION TO KODAGU JAMMA ISSUE

General elections should be held by the end of february and it should not be postpoed further.Already the state Governor has announced about the preparation of of voter list by January and immediate election is advisable- suggested B.S.yediyurappa, the BJP state leader and ex.Chief Minister. He was addressing the huge gathering at Gandhi maidan Madikeri. He came in a procession with warm welcoming near Chowdeshwari temple, mahadevpet, Madikeri. Before procession Pooja was performed in the temple.

Yediyurappa expressed his happiness over the unexpected hearty welcome in Madikeri from the party workers and supporters.

Recalling the unsolved Kodagu Jamma Land issue he told it is his priority to solve the jamma controversy if the BJP gains power in the state.He also announced the establishment of Airport in Kushalnagar and also railway link to Kodagu..BJP will change the entire administrative structure if it comes to power. The party hopes winning all the assembly seats in Karnataka-Yediyurappa explained.

The present elections affect the state exchequer heavily and Rs. One thousand crores is an unnecessary expenditure caused due to the JDS breaking its’ promise.The counterparts have not cheated BJP,but they have cheated the people of Karnataka. Both JDS and Congress collapse during next election-Yediyurappa predicted.

The state BJP president D.V.Sadananda Gowda opined that BJP has sacrificed the power to upkeep the ethics. Yediyurappa had earlier supported kumaraswamy to become Chief minister on unselfish motto. But, ultimately the JDS has betrayed us.

Ramachandra Gowda, the ex minister teased Kumaraswamy by comparing his attitude to that of a dog jumping for offal.

The BJP M.L.A’s were present. A group of BJP workers from Virajpet thaluk shouted slogans against theVirajpet constituency M.L.A H.D.Basavaraju alleging his negligent attitude towards the thaluk BJP workers. The BJP leaders then calmed them down.

R.T.O OFFICE TO BE SHIFTED TO VILLAGE SITE

The Madikeri RTO office will be shifted to Kalakeri Nidugane village site situated 5 K.Ms from Madikeri town. The building is constructed at the estimated cost of Rs. 2 crore. The new building includes meeting hall,driving track,library and other facilities. But no provision for quarters to the staff. There is no bus facility to this place. The staff worries about the conveyance. Even, the auto drivers are unhappy to move the distance to get their work done.

The present office is situated in Mysore road in the building belong to Late General Thimmaiah. During last budget, the state Govt. had released Rs. One crore for converting this place as museum in memory of General Thimmaiah and had ordered to shift R.T.O office from their. So, the work is on brisk. However it requires minimum of 24 months to complete the new RTO building according to the contractors. M/s P.G.Shetty construct ions. The PWD is supervising the work. The RTO office site comes in between Madikeri and Abbifalls. Presently, the tourist inflow is high in this place e. Regular traffic towards Abbifalls is more here. The vehicular traffic increase after the RTO office is shifted. This may create traffic density in the area.-people opine.

KODAVA SAMAJAS’ FEDERATION NEUTRAL

All Kodava Smajas’federation has expressed its’ neutral attitude towards the world Kodava sahithya mela organized by Karnataka Kodava Sahithya Academy. In a prèss statement issued by Mathanda Monnappa, the president of the federation it is clearly mentioned that until the corruption charges against the present academy administration is nullified the federation stands neutral for the academy projects.

The doubtful financial transaction in the academy has caused adverse opinion in the district. The Govt. should investigate the fact and truth should be revealed –demanded Mathanda Monnappa in his statement. The presidents of Balele, ponnampet,,Virajpet, Ammathi, Napoklu, Madikeri, Gonikoppal and Kushalnangar have also supported the decision. Kodava Thakk Parishath has also endorsed the resolution

Meanwhile in addition to the two members resignation recently to Kodava academy. two other members have also stepped down. Nagesh Kalur and Thithira Rekha Vasanth have resigned for the posts opposing the corruption activity in the administration. They stated that they are kept in dark about the financial transactions carried by the academy president.
