LORRY CRASHES TO ROADSIDE EDGE: YOUTH DIEDMadikeri Nov. 28 A lorry was crashed to a road side edge near Judupala in Mangalore road.The driver Prahsanth lost the controle over the vehicle due to break fail.Raghavendra a youth from Kudlur village near Kushalnagar was pressed between lorry and the edge of the road and died on the spot.The Madikei Mangalore road has become worst for traffic due to big pot holes and the vehicle drivers are striving hard to drive in this road, many accidents, damage to vehicle is a daily news here.Raghavendra who was stuck due to accident was crying for water and uttered that he should be buried in his grandmother’s land. The lorry was carrying milk powder from Kushlalnagar to Mangalore.The deceased was working in Olam company and the company has paid a compensations of Rs, 4 lakh to the family.The on viewers tried hard to save the boy by emptying the milk powder pockets and to lift the vehicle but in vain. Prime minister H.D.Devegowda was not willing to let these profitable departments-analysed Mr. P.G.R.Sindhya, the ex. Minister and state BSP leader. BJP and JDS fought for the profitable departments not for the welfare of the people. They wanted to empty the state exchequer and to fill their own bags- said Sindhya. The state BSP generals secreatary Shridhar kalivir told that the BSP will provide candidature to Kodava community person in the coming Loksabha elections.,.The party state presidnert B.Gopal, district president Appachu and others were present. 7 ARRESTED ICLUDING A WOMAN IN THEFT CASEMadikeri Nov. 28 The Siddapur police have arrested 7 Accused including a woman in connection with various theft cases in Kodagu. Rs.90 thousand worth ornaments were stolen from the house of Kuttanda Kuttappa of Hoskeri village,Police investigated and arrested Aslam,Kongera cariappa,Jagannatha,Ahmad and his wife Shahira Banu and also their son auto driver Nasushad. When enquired the police found that the accused are also involved in 11 other theft cases in Kodagu.The team treid to sell the the stolen ornaments to various jewellers in Ashoka road, Mysore and when the team got a clue about police movement they thrown away the ornaments on the road side and fled away.
