ILLICIT ACTIVITY IN HOMESTAY:6 ARRESTEDMadikeri Nov.24 Madikeri police have arrested 6 teenagers who were indulged in illicit activity in a stay home here last night. Ravi,Prahanth and Vasanth of Yelahanka, Bangalore arrived in Scorpio N0.KA-50 M 8108.Broker Rehman took them to home stay by name Indraparstha near Gowda Samaj, madsikeri.The house owner is not staying and some body is running the homestay. Jyothi of Somwarpet,Latha of Kushalnagar and Divya of Mysore met the Bangalore youths in the house and they were engaged in illicit activity. On a clkue town police raided under the direction of DYSP Shashikumar. All the 6 were arrested and case registered. Police hunt for the broker Rehman.Inspector Krishnakumar,S.I and others conducted the raid. MURDER FOR MOBILE:CO-STUDENT ARRESTEDMadikeri Nov. 25 Police have exploded a student’s murder case and arrested a co-student who had committed the crime just for a mobile sake Darshan (20) and his friend Guruprasad (20) were together attending tuition at Chinthana Ganga tutorials at Gowli street, Madikeri for II P.U.C. exam. Darshan, s/o Mukkatira Raju a resident of Madikeri (near remand home) suddenly disappeared on Nov. 8th and his dead body was found in Kootuhole river near drinking water centre at Galibeedu village on Nov.9th.. This is the major drinking water supply centre to Madikeri. Madikeri Rural police Inspector Suresh Babu and S.I. Karim Raothar moved for brisk investigation under the direction of DYSP Shashikumar. The investigation team found the direct involvement of Darshan’s friend Guruparasad in the murder case. Guruprasad, is the son of Sanjeeva rai an employee connected to water supply in Madikeri City Municipal council. He is residing at Bhagavathinagar, Madikeri. The deceased Darshan had a hobby of hearing music.through mobile He had one mobile. Another mobile was recently presented by his sister Divya who is working in British Airways Darshan with friendship had given the new mobile in faith to his friend Guruprasad to download music. After some time when he asked to return his mobile Guruprasad was avoiding to return it. It was then known that Guruprasad had mortgaged the mobile with one Riyaz for Rs. 550.When Darshan continued his demand for return of his mobile his friend Guruprasad thought of a new plan. He assured that the mobile will be returned and accompanied Darshan to the Kootuhole river spot. When Darshan was standing by the river side Guruprasad hit him strongly on his head with a stick. Within fraction of a second Darshan with pain and injury fell into the river and drowned in the water. Police used IMEI number of newly purchased mobile and tracked the investigation. After thorough enquiry they could trace the sale of mobile to 4th person from hand to hand And they could capture the real culprit. |
