STATE AWARD TO SEETHA LAKSHMI;

MUDA chairperson Seetha Laksmi Ramachandra has received state award on Children’s Day, yesterday.

She was given the award for her individual service done to the welfare of children through different fields.

She received the award yesterday from Governor Rameshwar Tagore in the presence of Chief Minister Yediyurappa. The award includes a medal and cash prize of rupees twenty five thousand.

FINED FOR KILLING COW;

An accused is sentenced to undergo one year rigorous imprisonment and pay a fine of rupees one thousand for stealing and killing a cow.

The first division court has slapped the sentence to K.E.razak for having stealing two cows from the house of one Poovaiah at Napoklu during 2006. he stole the cows with the help of K.H.haneef and sold the meat after killing them.

Haneef is still at large and police are looking for him.
