INTER DISTRICT BIKE LIFTERS ARRESTED;

District police have arrested two bike lifters and seized four motor bikes.

District Crime Branch Police arrested Syed Altaf of Sunticoppa and Muhib Sheriff of Chamrajnagar and seized bikes bearing fake nu,bers. DySP Ramachandra said that one Humayun of Chmrajnagar is running an inter district theft racket and many people are involved in it. Humayun gave police a slip.

Humayun will organize lifting of bikes from different parts and would sell them through the above two accused along with a law student of Mahajan college, Mysore, Suhail.

The accused would steal latest motorbikes. The seized two wheelers include, Karishma Honda, Bajaj Pulser, and Hero Honda make. They were sold at Arakalgod and Kodagu.

DySP also revealed that the arrested have hinted that Humayun has stolen bikes even from even from Andrapradesh and the investigation is on to trace them.

PRIVATE BUS OWNERS TO HOLD PROTEST;

The private bus owners have planned a stir on this 12th to protest against KSRTC pushing busses unscientifically into rural routes.

Addressing a press conference, president of the association, M.C.Ashok alleged that the KSRTC busses are plying in rural areas without permit and a local person Vivek Poovaiah is using his influence to create more routes for KSRTC service, causing damage to private busses. Added to it, the busses have no proper permit, he alleged.

Ashok cautioned that they will pull private busses off the road if the district administration fails to solve the problem by withdrawing permit less KSRTC busses. More than three thousand workers will lose there job in such case, he explained.

RAMA SETHU ‘RATAYATRA’

Ramasethu Ratayatra would be held in Kodagu for two days, according to the convenor of Ramasethu rakshana Vedike, Keshava Hegde.

Addressing a press conference here yesterday, he stated that the Karnataka and Tamilnadu governments are ignoring the sentiments of people and they would create an awarness by holding Ratayatra. It is being held all over India for about twenty days, he informed.

Talking on the occasion, district convenor C.N.Somesh said that the Yatra would be held peacefully and committees are formed in all parts of the district to organize Yatra. Office bearers K.S.devaiah, Appaiah and M.M.Bopaiah were also present in the press conference.
