INDPENDENCE A BAD DAY FOR THE FAMILY

Yesterday’s 60th Independence day is bad day for two families

Rishik (6) Ist standard student of Lions club school, Gonikoppal did not attended the independence day celebrations in his school. He was moving with his grand mother in relax mood. He went with grand mother behind his house .Grand mother moved opposite direction to watch the whereabouts of their cows. The boy Rishik rushed towards paddy field.He was watching the water pond standing on the paddy field edge portion. Unknowingly he fell into the pond and the family members just got his dead body. He was the son of Padikal yadu.

In another incident venkatesh gowda (65) of Bychanhalli attended the independence day function held at Kushalnagar town .He watched his grand daughter poojas’ cultural show during the celebration. After enjoying the performance of his grand daughter he collapsed on the spot due to heart failure and died.

PWD LOW QUALITY WORK:COMPLAINT

Madikeri Aug. 16 The poor quality work in the construction of bridge instigated the civilians of Shrimangala, South kodagu to complain with proof to State Public work cell officer Prasad who recently visited there. He reacted and said the outer view exhibits the poor quality of the work done in the construction of pillars to bridges, retaining wall etc.he assured the civiliians that suitable action will be taken after proper investigation. The PWD Executive Engineer Basappa who was also present assured that the department section officer Ramesh who is responsible for the work will be transferred and another officer Ramanna Gowda will be deputed. Basavaraj N.Saunci mutt and Sudhheendra who are the quality examining officers clicked the photos of the works done. They said side liver of the bridges seem to be of very low quality. It is difficult to repair the bridge. Only remedy is to build jacketing apartment and by doing this at least further damage could be avoided.

.If the concerned higher authorities did not properly respond even after the reports the justice will be seeked in the court of law- disclosed Bottangada Raju, theShrimanfgala Thaluk Panchayath member.Z.P.mmeber Kanjithanda Anitha, Virajpet Thaluk BJP president Machimada M.Ravindra and Shrimangala Village Panchayath president Muthappa also supported the move. Theralu bridge near Shrimangala which was constructed at the estimated of cost of Rs. 70 lakh,The 120 ton weighed bridge entirely stood on the strength of pillars.. but during observation it is found that the iron rods used for the formation of pillars are already loosing their strength due to the corrosion. The material itself is of low quality. In some other works also same type of negligence is reported.
