5 NEW EDUCATION INSTITUTIONSMadikeri Sept. 24 Five new education institutions will come up in Kodagu. State Govt. has sanctioned one pre University College, one Morarji school and three high schools. Mr. Ramachandragowda, the kodagu District incharge minister has disclosed this. He has inaugurated the Bicycle distribution function at Kushalnagar. The kushalnagar pre university college will get science section from next academic year –he disclosed. The state Govt. has this year distributed 1.75 lakh bicycles to poor girls in Karnataka. The coverage includes 120 Pre University colleges, 380 High Schools in the state-Ramachandragowda disclosed. The kodagu has 77% literacy and in the coming years 90% should be achieved he hoped. Speaking as a chief guest, B.A .Jeeviajaya, the Somwrapet MLA. Expressed his dissatisfaction over the negligence attitude of the officials in kodagu in properly implementing the Govt. sanctioned projects. Kodagu is facing burning problems like drinking water problem, to obtain right over the cutting of trees, various land tenure and elephant menace problems .What is the need of celebrating the Karnataka go;lden year celebration while the district is suffering like this ? he asked. TIGER CAPTUREDMadikeri Sept. 24 The man hunter tiger was captured by the forest department with the help of localities at Nanchi villkage near Kutta. The tiger was exactly captured at 7.30 P.M. yesterday while it was roaming in the estate of a planter Raja Thimmaiah at Nanachi village.The forest department got clue about the hiding of tiger in the estate and its attempt to hunt a pet dog.. They confirmed it’s presence after hearing the roaring sound. They tied up the dog inside a cage and were cautiously watching the tiger’s movements. But it did not helped them. At about 7.30 P.M. Dr. Nagaraj who came for the purpose succeeded in tranqulising the animal using a gun to shoot the medicine The man hunter had killed a padestrian at Balele. It had swallowed many number of cows and buffaloes. It had attacked on a villager injuring him. Now, the localities feel safe after capturing the just 6 years old tiger in the area.
