LAD KILLED IN ACCIDENT;

Twenty three year old Ajjinikanda Palangappa, a final year B.A. student from FMKMC college, Madikeri was killed in a road accident yesterday, while his friend and a pillion rider suffered severe head injury.

Palangappa was riding a motor cycle near Siddapur and bashed against a tree in a deep curve. While he died at Siddapur hospital, his friend Tyagaraj from Bangalore sustained grievous injury on head. Tyagaraj came in his bike all the way from Bangalore to meet his friend and attend the traditional festival “ Kail Muhurta”, yesterday.

Tyagaraj is shifted to NIMHAMNS, Bangalore.

GUN SHOT AT NAPOKLU;

Napoklu police received complaint from two parties yesterday night about a gunshot and stabbing.

According to police, Pradip and Harish were shot at by Mohan and his brother, while Mohan was injured by a talwar. Mohan and his brother were allegedly attacked by pradip with a talwar and Mohanopened fire with a pistol to protect him.

Pradip and Harish received gun shot injury on hand and head while Mohans hand was injured by talwar. The trio was shifted to Madikeri hospital at night. They are out of danger, according to police.
